Hey Zak did you get to play test this game?

zakblood -> RE: Tigers on the Hunt reveals its Cover Art! (12/17/2015 2:36:13 PM)

can't say, of they would run over me with the tank[:D]

bo -> RE: Tigers on the Hunt reveals its Cover Art! (12/17/2015 3:02:38 PM)

Confused as always, why a box art picture when there will be no box [&:]

Also I asked a question about if the players manual could be posted on this forum when finished and could be downloaded to our computers to study the game beforehand. I asked that on 12/14. I wish someone had the courtesy to answer this, yes, no, maybe, or just maybe nobody saw the question [:(]

Who commissioned the art work?...and is there an original? Who is the artist?

Zap -> RE: Tigers on the Hunt reveals its Cover Art! (12/17/2015 4:20:56 PM)

German tank on High ground looking for a target. In the cold weather, fog great condition for war. I like it. So this is for what? To use in the store? Same comment as Bo no boxed game, that would be the only use for this.

Peter Fisla -> RE: Tigers on the Hunt reveals its Cover Art! (12/17/2015 4:39:40 PM)

I asked for Tiger tank on the game splash screen, I really like what matrix games came up with :)

Even if there is no printed manual, Matrix could still sell a boxed (hard copy) of game. They call it a Digital Express edition.

Thanks
Rick

It is beautiful in a scary sort of way. Reminds of at least one ex.

farnarkle -> RE: Tigers on the Hunt reveals its Cover Art! (12/18/2015 12:20:16 AM)

Shame they put the commanders cupola on the wrong side of the tank and put late production model running gear with an early production turret........[:D] Nice piece of art though and looks pretty impressive

Hey Bo, I also play WoT but don't think that all the stuff that they put into the game reflects what was actually produced. [8D] Makes for a bit of fun though. Seriously, there are people out there who will endlessly debate the number of nuts on a steel wheel of a Panther G. As a scale modeller of over 40 Years, there are forums where every new model kit that is produced is forensically pulled apart for accuracy from basic dimensions through to tool fitout, vision slit numbers, cupola shape and type and the list goes on.

As a Beta tester I know Peter has a great product that will appeal greatly to the SL/ASL fanbase that I suspect is the core target market. I just think it would be a disaster if sales were lost because the artwork, while dramatic and looks visually appealing, is inaccurate.

And that is paid for on order of the game through the store? Now that I did not know.

Hi farnarkle I am very impressed by your observation and it would have nothing to do with sales that I do hope will be large, I actually compliment you for your knowledge of the Tiger 1, I play mostly with the Stug 111 but I keep my favorite tank gassed up and ready to go, "the famous Leichttraktor"

I just browsed the store and I don't see old Classifications. Their catalog used to show what format the game came in:

Digital Express Edition: This edition comes with a full color printed box, full color printed DVD (with your order number and serial number printed on it) and a PDF E-Book indexed manual.

Standard Edition: This edition comes with a full color printed box, full color printed DVD (with your order number and serial number printed on it), a Printed grayscale manual and a PDF E-Book indexed manual.

Collector's Edition: This edition comes with a full color printed box, full color printed DVD (with your order number and serial number printed on it), a Printed full color manual and a PDF E-Book indexed manual.
You can see more details regarding the size of the manual for each game by clicking on "More Info" next to that game's entry in our catalog and reading through the description and the game and system requirements.

OR you could choose Download Only.

Now all I see is the Download Only price, and once you click on buy, you get option to upgrade to box. I imagine you need to read the details for each game to see what the box contains.

I don't know. I'm just going by what other games have done. Maybe he meant there would be no printed manual? just pdf? I will wait until game shows up in the catalog to know for sure.

Sorry for the confusion.

farnarkle -> RE: Tigers on the Hunt reveals its Cover Art! (12/18/2015 11:53:33 PM)

Ah yes the LoLtracktor, shame I am on the Asian Server and I assume you are on the US server - we could have platooned and rampaged round the battlefield in the mighty Loltraks :) look me up on the Wot asia webpage under Narfarkle.

Ah, Ok thanks for clearing that up (probably for the second time). Sorry if I confused things. I still like the box art though.

Thanks

We can still make a back-up copy (which I confess I have never done) I hope the process is easy!
