"Goetia" is on sale at 33% off! [:)] Sale ends July 5th! From the developers: "The ruins of any village are the silent testament to its final moments. The ruins of Oakmarsh are no different. Their telling silence, the dust blanketing what was once a quiet village near Coventry.

The name of a manor and the family that lived within. A perverted and mad lineage, a clan whose final members devoted their life to mysticism and fanatical experiments. I am Abigail. Abigail Blackwood. Recently risen from the grave, I know nothing about the last 40 years of my family’s history... But obviously somebody is keen on seeing me lift the veil on what happened in Oakmarsh - to what led to the downfall of Blackwood Manor. And it seems like I have no choice in the matter…

A 2D world of Victorian mystery with with over 90 rooms to explore. Five vast and diverse areas to discover - Blackwood Manor is surrounded by ruins, woods, caves and an abandoned village." More on the Store page...

"Bounty Train" is on sale at 50% off! [:)] Sale ends June 23rd - one day only! It is in Early Access but the reviews have been very favorable...from the developers: "Be prepared to conquer the Wild West on rails! Mount and design your very own train with plenty of detailed equipment, hire a loyal, bold and selfless crew and travel through the dangerous Wild West. Find your way by cleverly using your resources and by shipping goods and passengers. Solve problems your own way, either through diplomacy, violence or bribery.

Explore the dangerous life, the accurate historic events and contemporary inventions of the North American/US 19th century. Acquire one of the most legendary steam machines and transform it into a fortress on rails. Fulfill surprising quests and face notorious bandits, vengeful Natives and even more enemies. You can only achieve this journey of your life, if you pay attention to all these thrilling factors." Here it is...

Not on Steam directly, but there's a pretty great deal on ARMA at the moment. If you go to Bohemia Interactive's website they are doing a 15th Anniversary sale. You can get the entire ARMA series, from the original Operation Flashpoint all the way through Arma 3, including all the expansions/DLC for just $22. Not going to find many deals better than that.

Only thing not included is the Apex expansion for Arma 3, but that hasn't come out yet.

Ranger33 -> RE: Steam sale thread (6/23/2016 8:36:41 PM)

Should probably be noted that during this Summer Sale there won't be daily deals and flash sales like before. Apparently they stopped doing those because of people abusing the refund system. So what you see is what you get until the sale ends. Still, a lot of great deals on there. Personally, I just picked up Ashes of the Singularity, seems like an interesting new RTS along the lines of Supreme Commander.

I just looked at everything on Steam published under Slitherine and it looks like the majority of the catalog is 20-50% off, so definitely something for everyone there.

RodyMetal -> RE: Steam sale thread (6/23/2016 9:48:55 PM)

Not much for me, mostly Matrix/ slitherine titles I missed before.
Should I get Pride of Nations, how is the performance?

I'll be checking the daily new releases and post anything here if it is worthwhile or interesting (IMHO), Ashes of the Singularity does look good...good looking sale! [:)]

I picked up Pillars of Eternity and Evochron. I have been wanting both so now I'll have two more titles that I won't get enough time to play!

nicwb -> RE: Steam sale thread (6/24/2016 7:44:58 AM)

I see they have Pike &Shot Campaign at 50% - tempting

But I agree with H Gilmer - when I was younger I had enough time but not enough money to indulge my gaming habit. Now I have sufficient money but insufficient time. Hardly seems fair.

Graviteam Tactics: Operation Star + DLCs - 85% off

Same here - but after playing it on the iPad periodically I knew it was worth it - sold !

Also picked Rise of Prussia Gold - another steal ....

RodyMetal -> RE: Steam sale thread (6/24/2016 1:38:02 PM)

Pike & Shot is great great game guys, you must get it. I want to get another AGEOD game, need your recommendation on the following (specially regarding the performance):
Civil War II
Pride of Nations
Alea Jacta Est
Revolution Under Siege

Also I never played Close Combat series, which one is the best?

Thanks

bairdlander2 -> RE: Steam sale thread (6/24/2016 5:16:35 PM)

Can I use my Matrix anniversary coupon with the steam summer sale?

When I was asking about that, I was recommended Last Stand Arnhem. I've played only 1 scenario of it though. I've got too many games on my hands and I spend my free time reading/posting on forums and watching anime.

wings7 -> RE: Steam sale thread (6/24/2016 7:54:42 PM)

Steam Summer Sale - "New Reality Studio Pack" is on sale at 90% off! [:)] A sea of Indie games & DLC that works out to 18 cents a game...definitely work a look!

I want to get Pike and Shot here so I have it both DRM free and Steam.

Of that group this is how I rank them.

1. Civil War II.
2. Revolution Under Siege
3. Alea Jacta Est
4. Pride of Nations. - Unless you have a beast of a computer, turns can be slow. It has to be speed of the CPU, not the cores, because their games are not optimised for extra cores. This is my experience and what I have picked up on forums.

Greybriar -> RE: Steam sale thread (6/25/2016 4:27:42 AM)

I thought of Rhonda when I saw Goat Simulator on sale at 75% off ($2.50 U.S.).

Kuokkanen -> RE: Steam sale thread (6/25/2016 7:26:27 AM)

Doom games are also in for sale. New one for -40% off and Doom 3: BFG Edition for -50%. I still haven't played through Red Faction franchise nor Crysis for that matter... Thinking about having short vacation (this weekend) and lock & load.
