CapnDarwin -> RE: oops got error msg (1/7/2016 10:11:49 PM)

What was the game doing at the time?

CapnDarwin -> RE: oops got error msg (1/8/2016 12:03:55 PM)

So clicked on a unit during turn resolution? Just updated? To version 2.0.10b or something else?

Thanks for the information.

CapnDarwin -> RE: oops got error msg (1/8/2016 1:31:42 PM)

Can you please email me both of those saves so we can see what has happened. It sounds like a data corruption of some type has occurred. Thanks.

CapnDarwin -> RE: oops got error msg (1/8/2016 3:15:58 PM)

Thanks. Yep work on supporting guidance repair and have an Aerospace degree. Hence rocket scientist. [:D]

sabreman1966mcs -> RE: oops got error msg (1/9/2016 7:01:38 PM)

Just purchased the game yesterday, updated to 2.0.10b and I am getting the same error message when playing through the Tutorial scenario. For me it occurs during Turn Resolution, without me clicking on any units.

IronManBeta -> RE: oops got error msg (1/9/2016 9:46:58 PM)

We are working on this and trying to get clues as to what might be triggering it. The screen shot at the top of this thread showed the problem happened partway while the focused unit was being moved into a new hex. It this is what happened to you or anyone else this would be very useful to localize the problem.

Thanks, Rob C

For me it occurs when one of my units is firing. The first time it happened I clicked on OK to remove the message, the program then seemed to get stuck in a loop and just continually fire that one unit at the original target. The error message than continued to appear at regular intervals, everytime I clicked OK it would just resume the firing cycle of that one unit, until I had to reboot to get out of the program.

The second time it happened, I had loaded a save game (same game as above, but from near the start of the scenario)this time the error message popped up again when a unit was firing, again I closed it but no firing loop occurred, this time the phase just continued with nothing happening, no movement or firing from either side. The phase was due to last 14 minutes, but just carried on for over an hour with no sign of finishing, also the error message did not appear again. I could not pause the phase, so had to kill the program to get out of it.

Saberman, can you send that save file to look at?

Grognerd, Rob has your files and we both have been testing and looking for a common bug.

Thanks for the reports guys.

Saves sent to OTS address, hope they help.

xavutrecht -> RE: oops got error msg (1/11/2016 12:58:27 PM)

Same bug as the other players.
PC Windows 10. Downloaded game. Build 2.0.10b
Auto-save selected.
Scenario is eyes, ears and Teeth.
Save attached.
Messages appeared during the game resolution phase, units were moving to location, NSTR according to the game.
Error messages in the next post.

Error was duplicated on my laptop.
I unchecked the auto-save option, all went well but then the game "froze", nothing happeneing on the map (no movements/fire) and the clock is acting weird (time remaining is going down by the second and clock is increasing by the minute.

Cheers

Weird clock.
Time remaining until next order phase is decreasing by 1 sec, clock is increasing by 1 min. [&:]

CapnDarwin -> RE: oops got error msg (1/11/2016 2:45:02 PM)

Xavier, Looks like the same issue. We should be posting the 2.0.11 open beta this evening on our website and also passing the game exe file on to Matrix for them to post here and to the beta side of Steam. We would be very interested in having you guys test this new version and see if this bug is fixed. Look for more information tonight.

xavutrecht -> RE: oops got error msg (1/11/2016 3:03:21 PM)

Great news. Will have a look ASAP.
Fantastic game by the way (with a steep learning curve!).

It would be great if you still have some beat tester "slots" available.

Hi there,

Might it not be that the time elapsed/remains is the scenario time and is shown in hours and minutes, therefore, when the game clock goes up by a minute so does the elapsed time and the remaining time is decreased by one minute. [:)]

CapnDarwin -> RE: oops got error msg (1/12/2016 10:47:12 AM)

There won't be any slots for this beta. It will be open to anyone that want to try it out to see if the bugs go away and hopefully no new ones pop up. We were still dealing with one issue after our Dev call last night so we plan to release the beta later today once we get a new build.

Stelteck -> RE: oops got error msg (1/17/2016 10:40:58 AM)

I got the same issue. (And i also noticed that a few times before the exception, my troops stop firing at the ennemy even though movement still go on).
I installed the open beta executable and restore my save just prior the issue.

No exception during turn processing this time.
My troops keeps firing at the ennemy.

Looks like the issue has been solved.

CapnDarwin -> RE: oops got error msg (1/17/2016 12:56:45 PM)

Stelteck, thanks for the report. Glad to see you are up and running. [8D]
