Hi tbone, I might have to wax philosophical here. Attempting to optimise your approach so that all the ducks are lined up in a row is going to be a frustrating experience. The game is deliberately designed to throw more at you than you can manage. It's not possible to fight a perfect war. There will be many times when things don't go your way. What goes pear shaped will vary with each play through but you can count on things not going to plan. As Operational Commander of the entire Eastern Front you're expected, by High Command, to pick up the pieces, adapt and keep going. I'd suggest that it might be a more enjoyable experience if you put yourself in the shoes of the man on the day. He didn't get the option of a restart, faced some pretty horrendous difficulties and still managed to do O.K. Cheers, Cameron
