falcon2006 -> [INFO NEEDED + FIXED DB v442] HQ-9 related issues (1/16/2016 1:15:01 PM)

Hi, I just post this to make sure that emsoy and other guys can see it. Current HQ-9 and HQ-9B have some issues that need to be corrected:

.The terminal guidance system of HQ-9(Both naval and land version) is not SARH but active radar homing, you can find this information on wiki or any Chinese military fans forum especially "cjdby".(because Liu Xiaofei, son of the HQ-9 designer and an expert in radar, is a special guest there)

.The lowest intercept altitude for HQ-9 is lower than 25m(Also an information from Mr.Liu)

.The radar of the HQ-9 system differs on land and sea. On land, it's a PESA radar while AESA on the ship.

Hope these issues will be fixed in the future update.

We need links and real data to make changes. Telling us its easy to find or that we need to talk to somebody's is not actually doing it. We need to be able to actually convert the change into a data element but also if somebody asked show where we got the data other than somebody's forum name.

"Admiral Callaghan I'll have you know that Binky[:'(] on our forum provided this data. He's the bomb!"

Thanks

Mike

Yeah there is a lot of conflicting info on the guidance system. Some sources say SARH + IR, you say ARH. Really need links to sources.

In any case, I updated the minimum altitude to 30ft (10m) so that it matches the capabilities of SM-2 and SA-N-20.
