In Windows Explorer, can you establish that the CS_UnitViewer.exe is in the proper place?

There should be a: Campaign Series Middle East\tools\CS_UnitViewer\CS_UnitViewer.exe. Is there?

No, I do not see it. All I see is JSGME and the JTCS_UnitViewer. Thanks

After installing the original CSME 1.00a, did you subsequently

  • apply the 1.01 official update patch, then
  • apply the 1.02 Open Beta hot fix patch

tools\CS_UnitViewer\CS_UnitViewer.exe was added in the 1.01 patch:

If you don't see it, that suggest maybe you haven't applied the 1.01 patch?

Have you tried having your game install path in the settings.txt yet?

    Here's mine:

    East Front=C:\Matrix Games\John Tiller's Campaign Series\East Front
    West Front=C:\Matrix Games\John Tiller's Campaign Series\West Front
    Rising Sun=C:\Matrix Games\John Tiller's Campaign Series\Rising Sun
Middle East=C:\Matrix Games\Campaign Series Middle East

If you only have Middle East then that is the only row you need. If you additionally have JTCS installed, then you can use the one Unit Viewer to view units in all games.

Also, often a good idea to copy a Shortcut of CS_UnitViewer.exe to your desktop. With settings.txt in place, the one Unit Viewer would work to all games from there too.

Hope this helps. If not let us know!

Yes, that fixed it!! Thanks!! I downloaded the main game and then only applied the 1.02 (beta).

Yes! Glad it worked out at the end [:)]

Yes, the 1.02 Open Beta is not a comprehensive patch. (When it goes official and is posted by Matrix, the 1.02 Update Patch will like any other official patch be comprehensive.) The current 1.02 hot fix patch requires 1.01 installation to precede it, definitely.
