Bulldog61 -> 501st PIR missing from Campaign Game (2/8/2016 12:34:18 AM)

The U.S. 501st Airborne regiment is missing from the campaign game. It also appears the 82nd and 101st Airborne divisions are short airborne squads. Or am I missing something.

Hello

The 501st Airborne Infantry Regimen was not a seperated Regiment. It was always a part of the 101st Airborne Division.

TOE is changing.

Wrong,

501 PIR was attached 1 May 1944 to past VE Day. Organic Regiments were 327 & 401 GIR & 502 PIR

The OB for the 101st was made to specifically include the 501st, 502nd, 506th, 327th and 401st Regiments.

Which is wrong as well.

I was semi sure that the 501 were Support units allocated to the 101st.

Yes, technically it was attached to the 101st. For practical game purposes, it is incorporated into the 101st because it was part of the division for the duration of the period of time covered by the game.

The three battalions of the 501st are attached in the D-Day Scenario

Thats why I was semi sure, so the 101st has the 501st as organic AND attached!!!

Probably find the other US Airborne Divs carrying an extra Regiment.

Its a mistake on our end as the 501st was included with the 101st OB.
