Debate on air replacements in the DBB Guadalcanal campaign. My opponent and I are trying to see about whether or not the PDU being on or off effects the choices you can make in this scenario as far as upgrading fighters. I have lots of planes I cannot find what to do with in the scenario (PDU is off) as Allies and was wondering if it was that way simply because those models were not in usage in that theatre of if it was due to PDU being off.
I suppose you could test it by opening a game against the AI and trying it with PDU On, then see what juggling you can do with aircraft and look at the reinforcement queue. Then do the same thing with PDU Off. You should not have to go so far as moving all the ships and troops in the scenario to get an idea whether the air game can be handled differently or not.

PDU off means the historical airframe usage is in effect. Your air units start off equipped with what they had historically and can only upgrade to the models which they did historically.
Allied aircraft production remains the same whether PDU is off or on.
