Turn 35. May/June 1945. Trade.

With allied economies transitioning at home to peacetime economies the French stop sending 3 non-oil RPs and the CW stops sending 2 non-oil RPs to the USA per turn. The USA, however, maintains (for now) 1 oil RP to China and made a new agreement of 1 oil RP to France.

Turn 35. May/June 1945. Initiative.

The axis lose the first roll for the initiative, request a re-roll, win the re-roll and choose to go first.

Turn 34. Mar/Apr 1945. End of Turn. Germany, Use Oil.

Through Germany has exhausted their oil stockpiles they were able to use some of the remote Italian oil to reorganize units at sea. I didn't realize that was possible as the axis have no sea route to the stored and remote Italian oil.

Yes, that not a bug, that is the rule. It is a strange rule, but it is the rule.

Turn 35. May/June 1945. Axis #1. IJN. China Sea. Japanese Coast. South China Sea.

Japan uses their combine to move what convoys they have left into the China and South China Seas in order to get some minimal overseas production going. Japan elects no combat and the USA, wanting to wait to after their combine move in which they'll have significantly more naval forces in place in these sea areas, does too.

Turn 35. May/June 1945. Axis #1. Germany. Ground Strike 2.

Two modestly successful ground shrikes by the Luftwaffe does slow Soviet armor spearheads racing towards the Oder.

Courtenay -> RE: Global War AAR in Pictures (7/20/2016 4:52:18 PM)

Horrible as this looks for the Germans, they are actually doing much better than they did historically.

CrusssDaddy -> RE: Global War AAR in Pictures (7/20/2016 7:00:05 PM)

I love that American screen in the way of the Soviets getting their points. I think maybe one last amphib operation at the Netherlands/Germany border breaks the camel's back?

Courtenay -> RE: Global War AAR in Pictures (7/20/2016 7:42:46 PM)

A turn ago the only stable sector was the Alps. Now that area is wide open; the Western Allies should work on infiltrating through there. Don't attack (except for the single unit that can be hit from five sides), just ground strike and infiltrate. Of course the Americans should get out of the Soviets way.

Turn 35. May/June 1945. Allied #2. Supercombine.

USA, CW and USSR all use o-chits in order to play supercombines.

rkr1958 -> RE: Global War AAR in Pictures (7/21/2016 1:28:49 AM)

Turn 35. May/June 1945. Allied #2. USN, RN. China Sea.

The combine forces of the USA and CW do find the lift and the troops to put together three invasion groups in the China Sea supported by the majority of the firepower of the combined USN and RN Pacific Fleets.

Based on lessons learned earlier, even with overwhelming firepower the allies opt for no combat in the China Sea.

NOTE: There's also two CW corps loaded on amphibious units present with the US forces.

Turn 35. May/June 1945. Allied #2. IJN. China Sea.

Japan, looking for a miracle, does opt to attempt to initiate a naval combat in the China Sea. However, it's the allies that get the drop on the Japanese. However, the allies decide to use the surprise points to avoid combat instead of risking their landing forces is possible future rounds. Again, a lesson they learned the hard way a few turns ago.

Turn 35. May/June 1945. Allied #2. Western Allies, North Africa. Ground Strike 1.

In retrospect, these air factors would have been more productive if used in ground support. Think!!!
