zacklaws -> [FIXED v1.11] Time of Flight of Bombs (2/16/2016 3:16:11 PM)

Never really took notice of it before as most of the missions I play have been low altitude, but today I was just messing about and set up 12 B52's in four groups to bomb some SAM sites and communication centers. The B52's carried out their bombing runs at 36000' and straight away I thought, thats a bit close to the target when all the bombs started dropping. On measuring subsequent groups, time of flight of the bombs was 12 seconds and dropped from just half a mile away.

Doing a bit of research, the time of flight should have been more than 44 seconds and distance from target for bomb release far greater.

In theory if this was a nuclear weapon dropped from the same altitude, then the release aircraft would be over the target area as it would not have time to carry out an escape manouvre

The bombs used were M117, according to the database they only have a range of 1 mile, so that may be where the problem is.

This is with RC6 775.16 and the cold war database

Nuclear gravity bombs already have a detonation delay. Try dropping one!
