That could be simulated with the line itself broken with one hex of rough ground, for example. Climbing up the sides of raised railway embankments caused all sorts of issues for British and US tanks in Normandy, exposing themselves to fire, mishap and bogging opportunity. But even just flat railway on level ground will do for a start.
