personally I think your offensive units are to dispersed. You have to do a soviet panzerball if you want to start recovering ground. You have tank corps scattered into 3 different operational areas when the German army is actually at 100% strength, with air superiority and holding in general a good defensive line. My tanks north of Moscow are there for that mini breakthrough which will help me retake Moscow at some future time. They cant move until relieved. I have just brought my tanks from 5th shock south and now (secret) am moving my 1st guards which is all tank to penza area. that would leave about 2 armies of tanks east of Saratov, 1 near Moscow and the rest near Penza. My trapped units must be saved at all cost. It may also offer me an opportunity to fight all his tanks in one spot! Aircorp needs a talking too from Stalin himself. Sorry, but I just see no value at all in having a single tank corps east of Tambov. East of Saratov, what is there to protect? If you launch a massed attack of tank, cavalry and mech forces in the west, Sillyflower has to respond. You need him to abandon the whole Saratov area by threatening his rear, hence my previous suggestion to strike south-southwest in the Voronezh area. In the off-chance he tries to go east of Saratov, you can always move more troops by rail, but he has no incentive to this late in the game.
