ORIGINAL: heyhellowhatsnew I was just wondering (and hoping) if this game was appearing on Steam anytime soon or if at all. I've always bought directly from Matrix/Slitherine and always will, but it would just be convienient to have all my games in one place. Thanks! Crossing my fingers! Sorry, not. This not that kind of game... That's too bad. STEAM has what 20 million or so users? If just .01% (that's 1/100th of 1 percent) of them buy that's 2000 sales. Not knowing how the STEAM/Publisher relationship works its very possible that 2000 sales isn't enough to put something there. Then again I remember reading somewhere that around 1.5% of computer gamers are serious wargamers (gotta be a marketing site with that kind of demographic data) and if that is the case then you're looking at some seriously high potential sales numbers from STEAM. The power of STEAM is the number of people who are gamers that a product gets in front of. Tigers on the Hunt looks a HELL of a lot like the original Avalon Hill Squad Leader game. That would be a draw for many one would think. Which begs the question: Was ASL the inspiration? Is it similar in ways other than the appearance and that it covers WWII? It might not be a good idea to bring it out on Steam at the beginning... Firstly, most steamers (sic [:D]) are used to big 90%-75% discounts, which this game will probably never get. Besides, it's realy a board game--again something most steamers won't appreciate. Perhaps they would if the game were $1.99 or somehting. But for the current price and the "simplicity" of its graphics, the game would get a thrashing on Steam, just like many Matrix/Slitherine games do. There seem to be lots of people there who hate Matrix/Slitherine... I guess it might come out on Steam one day, just like GG's War in the East did, eventually. BTW, have you ever wondered why GG's War in the West isn't on Steam yet...?
