Finarfïn -> NEI Oil? (2/29/2016 4:02:00 AM)

Hello,

It's maybe a silly question but i try to make NEI's oil (Palembang) pass through Telok Betong (minor port).

But MWIF doesn't let me do it sending one to Surabaya the other to Batavia.

Is ther a rule i haven't understand yet(i think minor port can be used to move ressources) or is this a (minor) bug?

I am not sure why you would want to do that. Batavia can reach the same sea areas as Telok Betong.

The program prefers major ports because more (unlimited?) resources can use those ports.

My first intention was to skip the strait ( not sure but aren't straits limiting ressources which pass through them?),

So i setup 2 CW's CP to bring back oil (1 to aussies, other to calcutta).

I put a FR's CP in South china sea to collect Indochina ressource.

I check after setup and 1et impulse (axe) and all is ok, the 2 ressources of Palembang go to Batavia but on the 2nd impulse (ally), one of them decide surabaya is a better port (why?) and so use the french CP in south china sea.
Each time i try to make it go through the first way all i have is a pop up windows to choose a factory (even if i have save this ressource).

Later i 'll send saved games (i'm at job right now ;) )

Each resource can transit one strait on the way to production or storage. If playing both LOS and Limited Access Across Straits you'll likely need one CP in one adjacent sea zone (although by the rules and FAQ only necessary when enemy units are in both adjacent sea zones, but I can't recall if this has been fixed in MWiF). But given the one CP, both oil should be able to go overland.

Upper part was taken at beginning of 1st impulse
both CW's ressources pass through Batavia, French indochina via south china sea.

The second part was taken beginning of 2nd impulse
One of CW pass through Surabaya without action from me (why? Only change is Poland aligned to CW?) so this ressource ,which is suposed to be save in Adelaide, use the french's CP in South China sea (no Indochina ressource).
I haven't succeded to change all this mess to what i want (and so i think i miss something about a rule or anything).
