I have been away for a while and I am so glad to see that you are back to doing art for AE. Gary it's always good stuff.

Thanks, oldman45. Good to see another veteran AE forumite still around. :)

Redid the Dutch Army Air Force SB2A to tone down the brightness of the underside a little.

Nice work on the heavies! [sm=happy0065.gif]

Korvar -> RE: New Air Art (10/3/2016 8:40:33 PM)

I tried my hand at air art over the weekend. I noticed the June 42 P-400 Airacobra seemed to be from an 'older' set and looked out of place next to all the other air art I'm using. It is loosely based on the 67th FS/347th FG which participated in the Guadalcanal / Solomons campaign during this time frame.

I did not create the tops as the existing ones are fine, although I did recolor the top a bit to better match the camo pattern of my side. The side art is all original excepting the prop blades.

No files are attached as it's still a WIP - to me, something still seems 'off' about it - I am hoping for some feedback before I finalize it.

I decided to make a minor modification to the earlier Dauntlesses from Halsey's site to include the tail gunners - they didn't quite feel right without 'em!
