FlyingBear -> Jumping targets (3/9/2016 12:22:05 AM)

In the attached sandbox scenario groups of aircraft engage a couple SA-10 batteries. Note how the target uncertainty zones are moving all over the place. In particular, sometimes the uncertainty zone is not covering the actual target location. As a result the attacking aircraft will sometimes launch their missiles at targets that appear to be well within reach but are actually much further away than the uncertainty zone indicates. This seems to happen when multiple platforms detect the same target, sensor fusion is not working properly. Kalman filters would do the trick, might be too computationally intensive though.
