Rhonda...I too am in Indy...I was diagnosed with Neuroendicrine Carcinoma in 2013, stage 3b and inoperable..Throat and both lungs and "30 to 40" lymph nodes,(quoting the Dr.). Of course when he said "inoperable", I thought the reaper had finally caught up...but without batting an eye he then said "So, we are going to start radiation daily to burn it out, (as you know). Well...they did burn it out, and while I only have 35% of my lungs remaining, I still have a quality of life, and of course still get regular CT scans and I see my Oncologist this Friday. As far as I am concerned, that Canadian gentleman is a true miracle worker. He is Dr Peter Garrett at St Francis, Indy campus,(Stop 11) just off south I 65 by Greenwood. I'm just convinced its' not over till HE is ready for us, and I hope HE is not ready for you yet. If I can help you, PM me and I will contact you....Bob P.S...Regardless of age you are fully qualified for social security disability and they can help with the costs.
