ComDev -> RE: Command v1.11 Release Candidate (CURRENT: RC1 - B802) (4/15/2016 3:23:24 PM)

Guys can you please check if the B811 game speed & user interface has been restored in B816 [8D]

If not, could you let me know asap, and Ill post links for 812, 813, 814 and 815. And maybe you could give us a hand pinpointing the build where things went pear-shaped. Thanks!

Post-B811 builds really only fixes an edge case with the random generator. We're a bit baffled about the consequenses lol.

Lowlaner2012 -> RE: Command v1.11 Release Candidate (CURRENT: RC1 - B802) (4/15/2016 3:42:58 PM)

For me at least it was the transition from 814 to 815 that saw a performance drop, I will test 816 when I get back from work in around half an hour...

Cheers for your hard and speedy work :-)

AlexinCT -> RE: Command v1.11 Release Candidate (CURRENT: RC1 - B802) (4/15/2016 4:27:40 PM)

I have been running one of my busiest scenarios, and I have to agree performance is now back to the speed we had before and smooth as hell. Thanks for a good job guys!

Lowlaner2012 -> RE: Command v1.11 Release Candidate (CURRENT: RC1 - B802) (4/15/2016 5:56:24 PM)

I can confirm that the game with 816 is feeling a lot more responsive and smoother.. thanks for your hard work guys :)

training -> RE: Command v1.11 Release Candidate (CURRENT: RC1 - B802) (4/15/2016 6:23:13 PM)

Installed B816, still getting the same UI problem as build B815.

Hi, can you please open a new thread on the Tech Support forum about your problem?

Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience.

Quick question, are you playing without the Map Cursor box (black box)?

And B814 loads just fine? Just not B815 and B816?

ComDev -> RE: Command v1.11 Release Candidate (CURRENT: RC1 - B802) (4/15/2016 9:04:28 PM)

And this is how it looks in B816 too? No map loaded?

ORIGINAL: training

Yes, it's been properly extracted. When I start up the game, I just get a blank screen. Screenshot is attached.

ComDev -> RE: Command v1.11 Release Candidate (CURRENT: RC1 - B802) (4/15/2016 9:05:16 PM)

It's the Command.ini file. I deleted it and the game ran normally.

I have, however, managed to re-create the problem. When I go into the Game Options Menu and change the setting on Map Cursor Databox Visibility from the default (show on cursor) to Do not show, the problems re-appear and the game slows down dramatically. (But it doesn't seem to be a problem if I set it so that the Databox shows on the bottom.)

Fixed B817, thanks [8D]

magi -> RE: Command v1.11 Release Candidate (CURRENT: RC1 - B802) (4/15/2016 9:08:14 PM)

okidokie.... ill check it out... you guys really work hard for us... remarkable really... thank you....

Schr75 -> RE: Command v1.11 Release Candidate (CURRENT: RC1 - B802) (4/15/2016 9:54:56 PM)

B816

Closing the Kurile Gap, 2300+ Units and a hand full of SOSUS sensors just to complicate maters, and it runs like the clappers.

Well done. No performance issues on my side.

Thank you!

training -> RE: Command v1.11 Release Candidate (CURRENT: RC1 - B802) (4/15/2016 10:19:01 PM)

I normally play with the black box at the bottom of the screen. Should that be an issue though? I deleted the .ini file. B814 worked when I installed it before, though I don't have the installer anymore.

magi -> RE: Command v1.11 Release Candidate (CURRENT: RC1 - B802) (4/15/2016 10:21:10 PM)

i am running a very large scenario now... 2800 au count... for me it smoother and more responsive than 815 that i used (til 6 in the morning) last night...

Dougolin -> RE: Command v1.11 Release Candidate (CURRENT: RC1 - B802) (4/16/2016 8:15:29 AM)

On Build 816, I am still having there same problems. Side selection and briefing window is incomplete until I move the mouse around, scenario start-up is very slow, Realism settings window hangs until I move mouse around, took around 45 seconds from clicking start for the actual game to start.

Problem only exists when I set the Map Cursor Databox Visibility to "Do not show" - Once I reset to show on bottom, the problem goes away and the game loads correctly and operates normally.

FoxZz -> RE: Command v1.11 Release Candidate (CURRENT: RC1 - B802) (4/16/2016 3:36:58 PM)

I've noticed a "coulour bug" in the last build.
Basically, the units considered hostile and display in red, switch to neutral/green for a few seconds before reverting to red in a totally random pattern. This bug seems only to affect visual display, since those units are still considered hostile by allied units and treated accordingly.
I cannot really provide a save since this is totally random.

training -> RE: Command v1.11 Release Candidate (CURRENT: RC1 - B802) (4/16/2016 3:59:32 PM)

Yes. It looks exactly the same as the previous screenshot, with no map loaded.

Weird indeed...

Does it only affect scens with complex side setups?

Which scenarios have you noted it in? Could you start a new thread in the Tech Support forum and upload them there, so that we're using the exact same version?

Thanks!

Hmmm... And you've deleted the Command.ini file, so the sim is using default settings?

It almost looks like the simulator isn't loading the maps.

Did you install 1.10 first, and then unzip 1.11 on top?

Patmanaut -> RE: Command v1.11 Release Candidate (CURRENT: RC1 - B802) (4/16/2016 7:09:42 PM)

Hi guys

I have installed Build 803.
I´m sorry, I´m trying upgrade to the latest build, but I can´t find where is the download link.

Thanks for your support.

Yep, I deleted the Command.ini file. I first updated to 1.10 from the WOTG version using the installer, then unzipped B816 and copied to the installation folder, exactly the same way I've installed dozens of other updates. It also increases the brightness of my screen when I start the program, something the previous versions don't do.

What looks like an identical problem was reported and resolved here:

http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4065120

Does this help any?

training -> RE: Command v1.11 Release Candidate (CURRENT: RC1 - B802) (4/16/2016 11:05:54 PM)

The problem looks the same, but I installed 1.10 before installing B815. I was able to install B814 without any problems. My GIS folder is also full, at 3.59 GB.

Dougolin -> RE: Command v1.11 Release Candidate (CURRENT: RC1 - B802) (4/17/2016 1:54:15 AM)

Playing Death of the Belgrano on Build 816, strange behavior in the Throttle and Altitude settings. If I pause the game while the Throttle and Altitude windows is open and then re-start the game, the altitude bar on the right side of the window disappears and speed will not change if I try to adjust speed using the throttle presets. In addition, instead of the number of knots appearing in the throttle box, the throttle preset word (i.e., creep or cruise, etc.) appears in the box. If I close the window and then re-open it (using F2), the window re-opens normally, but the problem will re-appear if I pause the game or go into the map and move a course waypoint.

Same problem occurs with aircraft in the Wargasm 1962 scenario.

Thanks for your feedback Dougolin, next time could you open a tech support ticket? That way we won't accidently miss a post or two?

I'm not able to reproduce this. Are you selecting a waypoint to change waypoint orders (see the Speed/Alt window title, at the top) and not re-selecting the unit?
