Have Torch & WitW, and note that there is no start placard as for WitE. For WitE I can play, update, read manuals, etc. from this start placard.

Not so for WitW, for which I must drop icons from files in Windows onto the desktop for these functions, inconvenient to say the least.

Is this WAD? Or, have I a corrupted download or failed initialization?

BTW, as experience with WitW improves I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions for the War Room.

Do you mean the Gary Grigsby's War in the West (Game Menu)? You should be able to access it from the Start button. Look for it in the application list in the Gary Grigsby's War in the West folder. Of course with all the versions of Windows these days it's hard to be too specific and know it will apply.

Thanks your reply...

Will work your suggestions.

Yes, GG WitW, etc. Is there another?

I do have an icon on the desktop and can execute from that. Also have placed 6 entries from Matrix files onto the desktop to get access to various Torch & WitW manuals and have updated to latest version.

The icon appears to be a Sherman tank w/WITW across the bottom. Did expect a placard like GG WitE that provided access to updates, manuals, forums, etc.

As things are, must use GG WitE placard to get to forums and then open Matrix files using file explorer to check for updates. Not a clean solution at all.

Believe when 1st downloaded there was a placard icon, but this would not activate when tried. Error message was something like "file not linked."

Any clue to correct this?
