FroBodine -> "The Enemy Approaches" dialog box blocks the map! (3/20/2016 6:20:42 PM)

I am enjoying the game so far. One thing REALLY bugs me, though:

Whenever there is a potential battle, the huge "The Enemy Approaches" dialog box appears, telling you where the battle is about to take place. It covers the map, so I can't see where on the map this location is.

I don't have the map memorized, and want to be able to see where this location is before I decide whether or not to fight. This window can easily be much smaller, and not cover the region in question.

Or, at least let us click back to the map to view the current situation before making our decision to fight or flee. I really don't like this about the game!

Thank you.

Nobody else agrees with me? [&:]

I agree. All popup boxes should be reduced to the minimum size, and not overlay the center of the map, if it refers to something going on there.

I agree as well. I think the best solution is allowing the player to move any (?) popup-window.

Agreed, I don't think this is a good dialog. It's also designed in an awkward and hard to read way.

If I remember well, when playing Hannibal, you could close any window you wanted in order to check the map, then reopen it to decide what to do

That would be wondrous in this game.

Yes, you could do that in Hannibal. It was extremely useful at times.
