Mike I would be really sorry to see more of these posts descending into a bun fight. It seems to me you have a combination of an ever increasingly more complicated game and a rise in the number of new people trying to get a grip of this great game. Yes a lot of the YouTube videos are fantastic and I would highly recommend them. However people do as they do , and there will always be questions that could have easily been answered by referring to previous posts or looking at the material available. I am mindful of that saying "Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence". You floated the idea of having a group of helpers on the Forum to give advice. Perhaps that can be looked at again ,and some code of conduct drawn up with your expectations of what you would expect from "official" helpers.
all the best

WOW. Oh so typical for Matrix Games.

I was going to put forward a relatively simple suggestion that I think would improve the game. Not so much new code as a simple rearranging of a complex set of menu items and a dialog. It could be done by taking existing commands and just rearraging a dialog a bit. So, something that could be done relatively easy and cheaply, but which I thought would improve the game.

But, then I came here and saw the typical rudeness with which Matrix treats its poor customers. I read some poor dude getting blasted because he wants a way to open a dialog easier. Then I scrolled to the bottom and saw the usual "We hate our customers" rant from Matrix. This company seems to specialize in massively over-priced games with bad manuals. Then, when someone comes to the forums searching for information or with an idea, they are greeted by a rude assortment of jerks.

So, while I have a simple idea that could help this game a lot, I decided to keep it to myself and instead spend my time on my own programming.

I'd say 'have a nice day', but I'd be lying. You guys can go back to being rude and nasty to each other. I won't come back to read any of it.

I have built an entirely better game than command, but to make a point, I will let any of you play it.

Is that what I just heard? Good grief.
quite the programmer. Maybe you can help HH build his perfect game.

btw, that is exactly what these devs did. They felt unfairly treated certain parties. They stopped complaining and built a far better mousetrap than Harpoon.

So drop us a note when your new game that is better than Command comes out. And don't worry, I won't be sitting on the edge of my seat.

Guess we're doing it wrong again.

Oh well.

Mike
