Overall, I think the artwork in UV is pretty darn good. But when it comes to aircraft, I am a hopeless nitpicker.
So I have started reworking some of the Allied aircraft illustrations -- the top-down views you see during the combat sequences. So far I have completed the, F4F-3, F4F-4, F6F, F4U, B-25D, B-25J, B-17, and SBD (I opened the canopies on this one ;).
In most cases I have used detailed 3-view drawings to modify the existing art. The F4Fs are completely new.
Spooky has been good enough to post the mod on his website, so if you are interested, you can find it there, along with some great mods for ship art and more by other fellas. The zipped file also includes simple installation instructions.
Check them out and let me know what you think. It's a work in progress, so if you have any comments or suggestions, please let me know.
