So there's this ad now with this lady saying something like "So, finding the right bra is pretty much impossible".

I agree, but I'd sure like to try. Of all the things I could have done with my life, I could've been the guy that screened the models for this commercial. Why, oh why, didn't I think of that while I was in High School or College?

Just took this pic. I haven't seen nor heard one of these in years, but now I have both. This is a Yellow-Shafted Northern Flicker. See the yellow in the tail. The black marking next to the bill, looks kinda like a mustache, that means this is a male. Love this bird.

Dude. Isn't that a grackle?

geofflambert -> RE: OT Thighs to ponder (3/19/2018 4:01:43 PM)

No, the other bird is a starling. Grackles never get on my feeders, they forage on the ground.

Chickenboy -> RE: OT Thighs to ponder (3/19/2018 4:16:13 PM)

Aye. Starling. Got my 'common annoying black-ish' birds mixed up for a sec.

Chickenboy -> RE: OT Thighs to ponder (3/19/2018 4:19:50 PM)

This is our predominating woodpecker around these here parts. Clever bunch. They've figured out a way to hang upside down on my wife's hummingbird feeder and raid it for supplemental energy during nesting.

Ah, we cut you slack - that one doesn't go 'bawk bawk bawk'. [:D]

Pretty frugal with the gold leaf when they set out to make that one "gold fronted". That Audubon was a cheap SOB.

The Starling's closest relative is the Myna. I'm sure if you made a pet of one you could make it talk, you know, give it the third degree. They can make most any sound. Around here a favorite is the sound of a Red-Tail Hawk crying, far off. I think they do that to see if they can scare off some of the other birds. It never works. They are annoying, though, pretty much like squirrels.

Looks like a close relative of the Red-Bellied Woodpecker. I think I saw some of those in the Panama feeder cam I mentioned earlier. I thought they were Red-Bellies but with their coloration rather faded, orange instead of red.

Now Chickenboy, I don't know why you have a mosquito avatar, but if you're in Galveston, watch out. When I visited the USS Texas there was an enormous cloud of mosquitoes providing CAP over her and they were the size of B-25s.

What is the airspeed velocity of an unladen mosquito?

tarkalak -> RE: OT Thighs to ponder (3/21/2018 11:50:17 AM)

Which mosquito? European mosquito or African mosquito? [sm=00000289.gif]

Zorch -> RE: OT Thighs to ponder (3/21/2018 1:28:50 PM)

About 400 mph. Less if carrying insecticide or Holy Hand Grenades.

This really isn't bad. I apologize if there's an ad you can skip after 3 seconds.

15 seconds ad that couldn't be skipped. [:@]

[;)]

Just kidding. No need to mention that there might be an add. There almost always is and should be expected when there is no charge to watch. And there is absolutely no need to apologize for an ad since it isn't your ad.

Thank you for sharing. Nice piece of music. [:)]

Although it doesn't make my current playlists.

When you stand toe to toe with a Conservative British Bulldog named Vic, what have you done?

Matched da feet with the paws of Vic Tory.

Kind of cute. [:)]

Although I wonder if fries are good food for the dog. Maybe the parrot has a evil plan? [;)]

Dogs are the apex omnivore on the planet, not us. They will eat all sorts of things (with delight) no human would, even if dying of starvation.
