Well, don't throw the ham at her, or at least eat it first.

Well, what kind of meat are you suggesting he use? Does he have to be in an Arby's?

Depends if it's kosher or not.

Excellent. Voice sounded like Peter Lorre.

Nope, but saying "Mrs. Bates"

geofflambert -> RE: OT Thighs to ponder (1/1/2019 7:44:35 PM)

Psycho!

Orm -> RE: OT Thighs to ponder (1/14/2019 6:27:51 PM)

So, how are the birds liking the winter? Visiting your bird garden support centre?

witpqs -> RE: OT Thighs to ponder (1/14/2019 6:31:15 PM)

A couple of hours ago I saw something new. A raven hanging upside down from a tree. Murphy's law being intact he flew off just as I readied my cell phone camera.

To bad. I would have liked seeing that picture. Although I am glad that you saw it. [:)]

geofflambert -> RE: OT Thighs to ponder (1/14/2019 7:41:16 PM)

The crows never come down to my yard. I hear them in the morning all the time and see them in the distance. The last time one came down was years ago and he landed on my fence. There were other birds in the yard foraging, but as soon as we made eye contact (we were about 50 feet apart) off he flew. The other birds (mostly) don't recognize me when I'm looking out the window, nor do the squirrels. The blue jays and hawks do, I think.

Orm -> RE: OT Thighs to ponder (1/14/2019 8:19:07 PM)

That sound weird to me.

Crows tend to ignore me, even when I am outside. [:D]

They don't like gorns.[:D]

Zorch -> RE: OT Thighs to ponder (1/17/2019 7:57:51 PM)

I tossed a stale bagel into the back yard. An hour later, it's 15 feet up in the willow tree. A squirrel, I assume. 2 hours later it's on the ground, half eaten. The neighbor's cat is under a bush nearby. [8D]

American crows are more paranoid than European ones! You do know how well-armed US citizens are ...[sm=00000054.gif]

Mikawa -> RE: OT Thighs to ponder (1/18/2019 3:28:17 AM)

Why do they cut the tails off some dogs?

Interestingly enough, there are not many crows in my neighborhood anymore. I wonder why? [sm=00000106.gif]

We had a weimaraner who's arse was just as high as our coffee table. Numerous flying coffee cups and several cracked tailbones later (his tail wagged at the speed of sound and just thumped the bejesus out of stuff, walls, other dogs, tvs, etc.), we had his tail bobbed. He was about 7 months old.

geofflambert -> RE: OT Thighs to ponder (1/22/2019 8:14:59 PM)

Here's a Sharp-shinned hawk about to take off from my maple tree. Wish the shot had been a tenth of a second later so the wings were spread.

Weimariners are such beauties.

I had a Doberman with the same issue. It could knock over just about everything with its tail. What he could not knock over with his tail, he would back up into and knock over!

Mikawa -> RE: OT Thighs to ponder (1/23/2019 1:13:01 AM)

What is the terminal velocity of a sharp skinned hawk?

Is the skin really sharp?

scout1 -> RE: OT Thighs to ponder (1/23/2019 2:08:25 AM)

Another Sharp-shinned hawk breed ……

Backtrack...

I thought that only applied to Swallows who carry coconuts ?

African or European Swallows ?

[8D]

rustysi -> RE: OT Thighs to ponder (1/23/2019 5:44:09 PM)

Aren't African Swallows non-migratory?[:)]

Beautiful plumage. Pining for the fiords, too.

geofflambert -> RE: OT Thighs to ponder (1/24/2019 1:03:38 AM)

Orm needs a dose of some bird of a different species. A Carolina wren at my suet feeder:

You know, where Orm is from, contrary to what you might think, they have only one fjord. However, they can lord it all over the Finns, who have none.
