Jul/Aug 1942 Impulse: 1 (Allied) Air rebase: Commonwealth - A beaufighter unit continues its progress to Bombay - A tank-busting Typhoon flies from the UK to Bilbao, as does a long-range Mosquito. Completing the rebases to the Basque capital is a Harrow ATR that is ordered to fly from Tunis. France - The French heavy bombers move out from Algiers and head to the border with Tunisia. United States - A Mustang is unloaded at Liverpool - A Mitchell bomber group transfers from India to southern Burma Soviet Union - The Soviets have too many things to do and not enough allowance. A Lend-Lease Hurricane is switched from Zhukov's front to support the defence of the Ukraine. - Scrapping the barrel now, an old biplane unit full of I-153's, heads for the Crimea. - The third and last move is difficult but, learning from the loss of the Mongolian cavalry, Koniev demands that both his fighter groups must be mutually self supporting and that they can cover all units within his command. A MiG fighter unit is therefore sent west to the banks of the River Liao. HQ Reorganization: Commonwealth - In the UK Alexander reorganises a Mosquito, a Spitfire, a Wellesley and a Sunderland. - In North Africa Wavell is used to reorganise the two Lancaster units of Bomber Command. It surely cannot be long before the Iberian Peninsular springs into life.... [image]local://upfiles/28156/5BE7ACB811354FE1B489D0445E725947.jpg[/image]
