Testmann -> Change battle stance for auto designed ships (4/12/2016 11:56:31 PM)

Hi!

I am playing a campaign with the Ackdarians, and as you probaply know, their ships are very fast and mainly use long range weapons.

So I want to make them have the battle stance "Standoff" against stronger and weaker opponents.
I want them to keep distance to any opponent, and annihilate them from a afar.

I want the AI to use autodesign with these "standoff" stances.
and thats why I'd like to know in which file I can find the battle stances for automated ship designer.

It's not in the 'designTemplates' or 'Policy' folder.

Can anybody tell me where to chance this?
Thanks!

Add theses Ship tactics in Design Templates:

TacticsWeaker; X
X = Evade, Standoff, AllWeapons, PointBlank

TacticsStronger; X
X = Evade, Standoff, AllWeapons, PointBlank

TacticsInvasion; X
X = DoNotInvade, InvadeWhenClear, InvadeImmediately

FleeWhen; X
X = EnemyMilitarySighted, Attacked, Shields50, Shields20, Never, Armor50

It's optional lines in the designTemplates - as well as in ... policy file - individual design templates can specify their stance - with no lines indicating "use default" - and the default is specified in the race's policy file.

thanks worked perfectly.
In the end I took this stance:

TacticsWeaker; Standoff

TacticsStronger; Standoff

TacticsInvasion; InvadeWhenClear

FleeWhen; Shields20
