Soerabaja: 27 G4M1 and 8 G3M2 have bombarded dutch airfield, destroying 1 139WH-3.

Wake: air/ground attack of 23 B5N1. While 1 F4F-3 was trying to disturb japanese bombers, it was shot down by one of the 21 A6M2 in protection.
During afternoon, some reinforcemnt were landed, triggering a shock attack.
Fort level was reduced to 3, but 2300 mens were lost for only 400 US troops.

Wake: CL Yura and Natori went closer to the shore for night bombardment. Significant losses and desruction were observed. Ground units were reinforced there and one more F4F-3 was shot down durin the day. One esub was sighted and attacked by DD Matsukaze

Australia west coast: SS I-30 sank xAK Theofano Livanos

Clark Field: a new assault was launched, but ennemis still hold the ground. 3409 casulaties on japan side vs 1400... IJA HQ decided to move one trained infantry division from Manchukuo to Clark Field.

Wake: 5in Mk 15 CD Gun battery has still shells for japanese ships landing troops and supply. 2 cargos damaged. The ennemy sub attacked the previous day was attacked also this day by DD Minekaze.
A ground assault was launched. US troops were probably disrupted, and the fortifications were reduced.

Torres Strait: AMC Nosiro Mau was torpedoed by an ennemy sub.

China: Nanyang was captured after a bloody battle: 5000 japanese troop lost vs 21000 chinese.

Milne bay: the 8th Indpt SNLF Coy has placed a japanese flag on a hill near the bay. No ennemy troop were spotted in the area.

Townsville: 15 G3M2 attacked the airfield. The airfiled was empty. However, 1 IJN bomber destroyed by flak. Few damages were obersved on the installation.

Wake: coastal defense were still active. Several shells on cargos during the day. However, thanks to fresh troops landed, the ennemy defense has finally collapsed. 1800 POW.

Palembang: a raid of 9 139WH-3 has been intercepted by 3 A6M2 and 4 Ki-43. 3 ennemy bombers were shot down. The remaining have tried to hit CL Jintsu but all bombs have fortunately missed their target.

Sub actions
Japan - south coast: xAK Johore Maru has been torpedoed by an ennemy sub. The escorting PB didn't detect the sub [:@]
DEI: TK Kuremente Maru was sunk after 3 torpedo hits.

Strait of Malacca: one small isolated cargo has been sighted by I-154. xAKL Bust was sunk after torpedo plus surface attack. It seems that Allies continue to resupply Singapore with isolated cargo...

Oosthaven: 9 A6M2 in sweep mission over this area have encountered a mixture of 12 fighter of different types. 1 Buffalo and 1 B-339D were destroyed for the loss of 1 reisen.
This action was followed by a ground attack of 24 G4M1 and 9 G3M2, which did several losses to the ennemy.

Soerabaja: 27 G4M1 and 8 G3M2 in port attack did some damages on installations and on AS Zuiderkruis (1 bomb hit), SS KXVIII (1 bomb hit) and SS Shark (5 bomb hits).

Palembang: 2/7 139WH-3 destroyed by 3 Ki-43. The 5 survivors failed to hit a cargo there.

Pegu - near Rangoon: a IJA ground attack was launched but 4100 mens were lost at the end of the day. 1200 casualties on the other side.

North coast of Java: a motorlaunch (ML No 311) did some damages (3 hits) to I-155 [X(].

Australia - Townsville: 19 A6M2 met 16 Kittyhawk... The ennemy seems to be trained, as 3 A6M2 were shot down... for 1 ennemy fighter claimed by IJN pilots.

Singapore: british flak efficiency - this day 2 bombers shot down despite high altitude bomb run (19000 ft).

South seas - near Savaļ: I-170 managed to sink PC Orara. Allies seems to use ASW patrols to counter IJN sub activities.

IJN Raiders West of Australia: the fate of AMC Kinryu Maru has been sealed by CL Marblehead and 3 DD. Both fleet have detected each other at close distance during night. The combat was too uneven.

Noumea night naval bombardment: an allied fleet made by 2 CA, 4 CL and 4 DD did several casualties and some damage to port and airfield.

Batavia - air combats: 11 A6M2 attacked ennemy fighter (36 of various type numbered). 1 Buffalo and 1 CW-21B Demon were destroyed for 1 A6M2. This first wave was then followed by 29 Ki-43. For the loss of 1 of them, 1 B-339D, 1 Hurricane and 1 additional Demon were shot down.

China - 2 ennemy fighters in CAP ! This rare event occured near Chengchow. The 2 H81-A3 from AVG shot down 1 Ki-48 and 1 Ki-30...

IJN Raiders West of Australia:
Kinryu Maru avenged ! SS I-27 hit CL Marblehead with 3 torpedoes during 2 separate attacks.
Later during the day - and not far away from there, a surface combat occured. It has involved CL Isuzu and 3 TB against 5 DD (Dutch and British). As the IJN fleet disengaged first, one can consider it was an Allied victory. But according to hits, it seems to be a draw:

Batavia - air combats: 21 Ki-43 attacked 24 remaining ennemy fighter. However, without Reisen opening the debate, 3 Hayabusa were lost ... for only 1 Buffalo. 6 A6M2 arrived later and destroyed 1 B-339D and 1 P-40E.
Soerabaja: G4M1 spent some torpedo on ennemy HDML and sank 2 of them.
Denpasar - south of Java: 25 139WH-3 attacked an amphibious fleet near this island. Fortunately, 2 A6M2 coming from Celebes and equiped with drop tank were in CAP... and destroyed 2 ennemy bomber. 6 dutch bombers resumed their attack during afternoon, only for the loss of 1 more of them.

Australia - Townsville: 3 A6M2 - followed by 28 other - came back and destroyed 2 of the 8 Kittihawk, without any loss.
