Since the place is so quiet why not have a quote thread? There are many great ones throughout history. Let's keep it to people no longer living in an attempt to stay civil.

I'll go first.

There are variations of that saying. Did he repeat it several times with some different words? Or has his original phrase been corrupted over time?

It does seem to have evolved or changed over time, or where the quote comes from. For here's another version of it; one that I've heard a number of times as well.
