rainman2015 -> Production Questions (5/16/2016 12:12:54 AM)

I just re-read the production rules, and i admit that production was the one aspect of the game that i still had some major questions about. So, some of these questions are pretty basic ones, but they still confuse me, finally getting around to asking them.

1) On German turn 2 for example, my stukas build capacity is 11 (and the build limit of 11 is already reached), multiply that by 57% for the air % that goes to the eastern front and you get 6.27, so why on turn 2 do 9 stukas get built? Also, HE111 capacity is 23 X 57% = 13.11, but 18 got built. Why not 6 stukas and 13 HE111s? And this is happening with everything, PzIIIj build capacity/build limit is 21, multiply that by 75% for the eastern front = 15.75, but only 13 got built.
What am i missing, as no numbers are exactly what i think they should be? Just want to understand the numbers.

2) Why did German manpower production not get affected by the 75% to other fronts rule? 1630 manpower factory total x 7 = 11410, which is exactly how many show up at 'built' on turn 2, but it should be x 75% = 8557, right? Rules say manpower is affected by the other fronts rule.

The same problem happened with HI. It should produce 50,000 (100 x 500) supplies and it does, but it should really be 37,500 after the 75% to eastern front rule, right?

Note that synthetic fuel, oil and armaments production was correct as per expected using the latest errata and 75% only sent to eastern front.

3) The errata note for 1.08.05 that changed fuel production efficiency to 80% should really read OIL production efficiency, as that is what is being affected, not fuel production (oil production = 30 x 500 = 15000 x 75% = 11250 x 80% reduced efficiency = 9000 (which is exactly what my oil production is on turn 2). Here is the 1.08.05 errata note, it was oil not fuel that was affected by the 80% reduction...

V1.08.05

Fuel production efficiency reduced to 80%, while maintaining previous oil usage (300 oil give 240 fuel).

The numbers are in the attachment.

NEWbie question. How do you post a screenshot where it actually displays in the message like everyone does all the time?

1) GC 1941 starts with Ju 87B factory of size 15 (despite build limit of 11). 15*0.57=8.55 which gives you 8 aircraft and 55% chance for 9th aircraft. So 9 is possible, since reduction to build limit happens after production.

2) For some reason (now I don't remember why), manpower built is total built, before substracting those sent to other fronts. Rest assured, that despite this proper amount is added to available pool.

3) Resources that are used to build other resources are not affected by "east front percentage", because full quota is needed to build full quota of those secondary resources (making fuel for other fronts using oil available only to east front doesn't make sense). I can confirm that for German cities in June 1941 you get:
- 300 OIL from every point of OIL factory (in Germany they operate at 60% effectiveness, so out of default 500 only 300 is produced), 100% available
- 240 FUEL from every point of FUEL factory, using 300 OIL in the process, 75% available

For example, Hamburg has 20 OIL and 20 FUEL factories. 6000 OIL is produced and made available, then it is used up to produce 4800 FUEL, of which 3600 is made available.

Can I throw in my Production question? Is there an obvious/easy way to see what was built THIS turn? The "Built" column is the total number built during all turns of the current game/scenario I believe.

I am missing something if the factory size is 15. I see factory size of 11 and build limit already at 11 for JU-87 on turn 2 of the GC 1941. Where should i be looking to see a 15? If the factory size and build limit is both at 11, then how in the heck did 9 JU-87s show up on turn 2 of production?

Open turn 1, it should have a size of 15.

Unfortunately no, you can only do this manually by comparing BUILT numbers from this and previous turn. In the log you only get two totals: for aircraft and factory-produced ground elements.

uw06670 -> RE: Production Questions (5/17/2016 6:53:46 PM)

and for a server game you can't go back to previous turn, so essentially would have to log the info each turn. Too bad.

thanks for the answer
