Gribeauval -> Buiding a bridge over an antitank ditch (5/17/2016 9:39:25 PM)

Hello, I have updated the game with the last beta patch.
I'm playing the scenario called "In the valley of tears" as syrian.
I have built a vehicular bridge with a syrian bridgelayer unit over the antitank ditch, but i can't cross this bridge with my T54/T55 tanks or with a BRDM.
Only a foot engineer unit can cross this bridge. This bridge has not a grey colour as an heavy bridge.
What am I doing wrong ?
Regards.

Can you post a screenshot of the bridge? Sounds like you installed a light bridge instead of vehicle bridge.

I don't succeed in getting a screenshot.
I have zipped the saved game. The bridge is between hex(43,21) and hex (44,20).
Thanks

Ah, I missed a map conversion to the anti-tank ditches.

I am fixing it now and it will work as intended. It will be included in the revised 1.02 OPEN BETA UPDATE I am releasing tonight.

This is fixed and available in the new 1.02 UPDATE BETA.

You will be able to continue your game as just the map is being replaced.

Gribeauval- I have been waiting for the update so the avlbs can indeed lay bridges, it appears you are playing as the Syrians, have you tried it from the Israeli side , will the avlbs lay bridges on the AI side for you?

Gribeauval -> RE: Buiding a bridge over an antitank ditch (6/1/2016 8:00:59 PM)

Hi Carl,
no, I didn't try playing as the israelis.
I don't know if the AI can build these bridges with the AVLBs.

Jason Petho -> RE: Buiding a bridge over an antitank ditch (6/1/2016 9:12:53 PM)

No, the AI cannot building bridges... yet.

Possibly bug? During the game scenario The Golan 85 Rafid encountered the problem of bridges. The problem concerns crossings built by the gully, where the position of the bridge can not exceed any armored units and motorized. I enclose a picture in which the impassable edges mark it in red. The green color refers to "rivers" and everything is working properly. The problem concerns many of these hexes on the map.

Looks like the map was missed for the 1.02 UPDATE that upgrades all those terrain features to the new anti-tank ditches.

I'll post a new map file tonight.

Thank you for your answer. Doubly thanks for the great game. Regards! [:)]

The attached zip file can be unzipped into your Campaign Series Middle East/scenarios folder.

Replace the .map file.

And when you load the scenario again, the proper anti-tank ditches should show up.
