Suul -> LOS Check (5/22/2016 5:36:38 PM)

Just checking if this is working as intended.

Squad is in woods on level 1 hill, Tank is on level 3 clear hill, intervening hexside is clear level 2 hill. The LOS is blocked.

This is from the mod ASL 2i board.

Not an explanation for the LOS issue.
But just looking at the map and distinguishing the hill levels can be a challenge . Distinct colouring of hills
would be nice .
I`m staring at your screenshot of the AFV and trying to work out if it is a lvl 2 or 3 hill :)

Suul -> RE: LOS Check (6/10/2016 11:38:06 PM)

The squad attempting to fire is on level 1 hill, intervening is a level 2 hill and the tank is on a level 3 hill.

My original question was about clear terrain between elevation changes. I was surprised to see this LoS blocked.

I am still curious if this is working as intended. I do not think a clear elevation change of one hex, (not a plateau), should create a blind hex. I hope someone will still answer this question.

I also agree with fuselex that a better color scheme would be helpful.

Thanks,

John

There shouldn't be a blind hex but as this is an inverted board the problem most likely lies in the inverted board.

Hills create blind hexes. I set up a test scenario, clean in the editor.
Russian squad is on ground level. German squad is on level 2 hill. Intervening hex is level 1 hill. The second Russian squad is there to "spot", so that the German squad would show up in the example.

Is this working as intended?

Thanks
