djoos5 -> [Q] New PC (5/31/2016 6:21:03 PM)

Hey guys,

I just bought a new PC and went to re-install my CMNANO software.

First, I started with my original build v100 and then went to do the v1.11 update and it says i need to have at least v1.09 to use the v1.11 update.

So, I am on the Matrix downloads page for My Games, and the v1.09 file is going at a snail's pace. Is there any other links still active to the v1.09 build? It keeps hopping from 4 hours to 2 hours, up to 3 and back to 4.

I appreciate any help.

All right...never mind. It took the better part of the day, but I now have CMANO ver1.09 downloaded. I will install it and then update it to the ver1.11.

So, in the future, should I need to rebuild again - is the ver1.09 the base on which we need to have installed to update over? Or do I still need to keep my ver1.00?

Thanks for the help.

Hi,

IIRC the current "full" installer downloadable from MG is v1.10 (the DVD-source v1.00 is now "a bit" outdated). So starting from there, you upgrade to v1.11 and should be good to go.

Thanks Sunburn!

I appreciate the insight. Question - do I need to install them sequentially?

I downloaded 1.09, because the Matrix site says - Install first 1.09 to properly run this update. So, I installed 1.09 first and then ran 1.11 over it. But now I cannot open any Community or personal scenarios. I get the error that is shown in the image attached. When I open the Stand Alone scenarios, they start just fine.

Do I need to uninstall everything and redo it in a sequential order starting with 1.09, to 1.10, and then 1.11?

Any help is appreciated!!

I recently made a second install of command because I joined the beta team and needed a test version of command.
I simply used my original v1.00 DVD and when it was done, clicked update in the launch menu, and the game automatically updated to v1.09 and then to the latest build.

All done in less than 30 min without any problems what so ever.
To be fair, I have a 50Mbit internet connection, so my download speeds are pretty fast, but it shouldn´t take all day even on a slow connection.

Hope this was usefull.

PS. Sunburn is right. V1.00 looks pretty old today when you have seen v1.11[:)]. Command have come a looong way.

Each major update release assumes that you're starting from the previous major release. So yes, if starting from v1.09 you must update to v1.10 and then v1.11.

Very good.

Thanks, Sunburn!

I hate to be a nuisance here, but after uninstalling and then reinstalling CMANO starting with ver1.09, then updating it first with ver1.10, and finally to ver1.11 I am still getting the same warning that I received before about the database.

Any other ideas?

Alright - I am fixed now.
