I made a similar suggestion a couple days ago , except involving those who pre-ordered the MC. Seemed to me that would allow the downloadable files to be posted sooner than the original 'when the disks ship' date; and maybe stagger the download traffic a bit.

Looks now like this great game has gotten so popular the download blues were unaviodable; even with the superhuman effort of the SPWAW staff.
Any word on the possibility of using file sharing programs like Gnutella to allow those who already got v5.0 to let others download it from them?
