This toolbar is a new useful addition to the standard toolbar and contextual menu

In the video you can see how use it

zakblood -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/16/2016 9:36:59 PM)

great tool thanks[&o]

where do we install it?

thanks

mitra76 -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/16/2016 9:41:31 PM)

In the mods directory of game (steam or matrix installation), is necessary activate it from the modification screen.

e_barkmann -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/17/2016 1:16:13 AM)

this is very cool, thanks. Is there a way to control timing of toolbar animation so it 'snaps' in rather than slides in?

Also has this been tested in MP?

cheers

all working correctly now installed and selected, a handy tool[&o]

mceochaidh -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/17/2016 9:09:50 PM)

Looks great but I can't get it installed. I first downloaded new patch and that is working fine. Then I clicked on Mitra's link and downloaded slider file and extracted the file into c:\users\mike\Documents\SowWL\Mods\. It does show up in the SowWL folder under Mods but does now show as an option in the game itself' The Grog toolbar is there as well as the Waterloo campaign, but not the new slider.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

zakblood -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/17/2016 9:16:06 PM)

once installed and loaded you need to activate it

zakblood -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/17/2016 9:17:20 PM)

as shown

it them appears on the left hand side of the screen in a tab format, which you have to press to make it come out of the corner left bottom of the screen

Yes

mceochaidh -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/18/2016 2:00:55 AM)

Zak,

Thanks for reply but the slider option does not show up in that screen. I have tried a few times extracting and then starting game and looking under the mod tab but do not see the option for the slider.

I will try again.

zakblood -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/18/2016 5:29:31 AM)

does you mod folder look like this?

[image]local://upfiles/43185/AC706B4CD3444F51AD0D17A5B9E7DC4E.jpg[/image]

i have it installed on steam, and my steam folder in on my D drive, but the rest of the information is or should be correct, the file comes in a zip file which you unzip and put the folder in the mod directory as shown, then in game it shows up in the modification folder where you select it and add it to the game, i also think but maybe wrong you can't have both toolbars at once, but mitra76 will have to comment on this but for me it's one or the other not both i think, not tried tbh to have both either, but normally with mods when both do the same thing you wouldn't be able to so just not tried it either[;)]

good luck hope it helps

mitra76 -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/18/2016 8:13:48 AM)

You have to place it inside the mods directory of game not in c:\users\mike\Documents\SowWL\Mods\

zakblood -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/18/2016 8:16:21 AM)

hehehe, i seems to have missed that part of his reply as well, need to read more, screenshot less it seems[:D]

Moltke71 -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/18/2016 7:24:18 PM)

I unzipped the tool to my Steam SOW Waterloo mods folder and they it appears on the game's mod screen. I select it and hit "Use selected mod". Still nothing.

mitra76 -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/18/2016 7:32:53 PM)

Do you have other mods with toolbar active?

Moltke71 -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/18/2016 7:42:34 PM)

No.

mitra76 -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/18/2016 7:54:38 PM)

please place a screenshot of your modification screen and of your in game screen; check also in the SOWWL.log if, after having started a game, the game reports to have loaded the mod (is in the first lines after the loading start).

zakblood -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/18/2016 8:51:42 PM)

No screen capture works.

mceochaidh -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/18/2016 9:02:58 PM)

Zak and Mitra:

Sorry for my lack of computer knowledge, When I have downloaded scenarios, I extract them to that directory c:\Users\Mike\Documents\SowWL\Scenarios and they show in the scenarios tab of the game itself and I can play them.

I cannot even find Scourge of War Waterloo in a folder except in c:\Users\Mike\Downloads. If I go to the control panel, under programs, I see the game. If I click this, it starts the game. If it helps, I bought directly from Matrix and used the disk to install the game. Then, I have updated the game with all patches, through 1.01 the other day. I can also see this patch in this same downloads folder.

So I cannot find the folder that Zak has. Of course I am not on Steam.

Sorry still confused.

mitra76 -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/18/2016 9:07:56 PM)

Please check what is the structure of directories inside the mod and if it is present the file toolbar.layout.

zakblood -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/18/2016 9:20:57 PM)

ok installed site version

[image]local://upfiles/43185/936B3FFB7B314E3E982D7FD837ED3C13.jpg[/image]

this is the default path to install the game and shows the path the the correct folder for the mod files.

this path is of course for the windows 10 version, and other operating systems will be slightly different, but can be shown if needed, just state which version you have etc

zakblood -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/18/2016 9:23:13 PM)

and the path to what's being asked

[image]local://upfiles/43185/0C31DE9743974ADC8761BA9FB1B5C2B6.jpg[/image]

zakblood -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/18/2016 9:29:26 PM)

site version patched to latest version

[image]local://upfiles/43185/4480DE1CCB494B8A82DE5FF06C963F9C.jpg[/image]

tick the box for the mod that's wanted and then click the box that says use selected mod etc, then go back to previous screen, once in game it should now be in game, but hidden almost on the bottom left side of the screen

zakblood -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/18/2016 9:29:50 PM)

in game with toolbar shown

zakblood -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/18/2016 9:47:24 PM)

and just one more before Mitra kicks me for spamming his page[:D]

and the folder one, done on the site version to show correct paths etc

zakblood -> RE: Slider toolbar mod (6/19/2016 5:38:11 AM)

and also this

[image]local://upfiles/43185/5A45C88F3B7B497A954ABCF0739C5E39.jpg[/image]

just need to alter what drive steam is installed on, as for me it's on my D drive, for most it's normally C, plus this is on a windows 10 pc so first name folder is different as it may say user not this pc etc etc
