Nightwatch -> [825] Chinese OTH Radars (6/22/2016 7:08:18 PM)

I've been playing around with Chinas multiple over-the-horizon radar facilities. No doubt its difficult to judge their actual performance with any degree of certainty, but i dont think the results in the attached file are feasable. B-1Bs are detected from a from 1000nm out while B-52Hs wont be detected until they are within about 150nm. Makes no sense IMO, B-52 should be detected even sooner than B-1s are currently. F/A-18Es are detected at about 600nm. Sounds about right IMO but F-16s can approach to 200nm without detection. C-17s and KC-135Rs have a very small detection window between about 300 and 500nms. Stealth aircraft can be detected at about 150ish nm. Ships dont get picked up at all. I cant offer any definite suggestion but i think its obvious that this should be reworked a bit. At the very least the detection ranges for flying barn doors should be increased.
