. The CW will move a transport from Plymouth and loaded with a 3-5 cavalry corps into the Bay of Biscay. Do the axis wish to attempt to intercept?

2. The CW will move a transport from Bristol loaded with Alexander into the Bay of Biscay. Do the axis wish to intercept?

3. The CW will move three CVLs from Liverpool into the Bay of Biscay. Do the axis wish to intercept?

4. The CW will NOT try to initiate a naval combat in the Bay of Biscay. Do the axis wish to try? If so, do the axis wish to add any air units to the battle and where?

As much as I'd like to, I will not engage at this time. No to all of the questions.

Enjoy the game. [:)]

I have a few questions for tomorrow. By the way, question 5 is the most important one. [:D]

Turn 10. Mar/Apr 1941. Allied #2. West Med. Axis, Contact.

1. I assume you wish to fight a naval air combat?

2. Do you wish to fly the Bf 100E as a bomber?

3. How do you wish to use your surprise points?

4. What are your targets?

5. Is it possible for you to lose a naval battle?

5. Is it possible for you to lose a naval battle?

1. Yes.
2. No (impact on AA is not good).
3. Reduce AA to no impact. If more, use it to increase damage to allies.
4. my D on Canariaa, my A on the Almirante if still there (hit units with most AA first).
5. Apparently not in the W. Med [:'(]

rkr1958 -> RE: Pat vs Ronnie GW AAR (9/14/2016 12:25:46 AM)

Lost internet due to severed cable. Should be fixed tomorrow. For now using cellular service. Will try to complete what I can, but limited to text. By the way, I'm a horrible and very slow texter.

ashkpa -> RE: Pat vs Ronnie GW AAR (9/14/2016 12:44:42 AM)

No problem. It can wait till tomorrow if need be. Don't ruin the thumb[:D]

rkr1958 -> RE: Pat vs Ronnie GW AAR (9/14/2016 12:52:15 AM)

Rd1 results. Cananiss damaged. Liberated damaged. Alicante aborted. Both sides stay. Rd2. Search axis 1, allies 4. Same rolls as before. Flew German plane as fighter again. Should have flown as bomber (sorry). 3 surprise points used to select target. CA Cananiss aborted added to damage. CA Liberated sunk. CA Miguel 1/2 aborted. Both sides stay. Rd3. Search axis 1 allies 10. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. That's 3 axis searh rolls in a row rolling a 1. Too many options to complete battle via text. Will post pictures tomorrow for instructions. Right now I'm in a desperate need of a beer. 😞

I use my middle (bird) figures on both hands. Sometimes my index finger instead.

ashkpa -> RE: Pat vs Ronnie GW AAR (9/14/2016 1:34:47 AM)

Believe I figured things out from yesterday's post.
If I'm right, I'll engage the 3-box only with 10 surprise points (you have the CV, bomber with NAV factors and two fighters).
It will be an Air to Sea.
I'll spend 4 surprise points to increase my A-A by 2
I'll spend 4 surprise points to decrease your A-A by 2
The last two will be spend to increase my NAV attack by 1 column.
My first damage will be against the CV.
Any other X or D will go against the 5-5 Transport, any A will go against the CA (high AA) and then the BB with high AA.

rkr1958 -> RE: Pat vs Ronnie GW AAR (9/14/2016 11:44:42 PM)

Internet still out, but I did fight next round. AA. +2 axis, -2 allies, 8 surprise points used. RN swordfish & pilot destroyed. German NAV cleared. RAF Hampton aborted. Italian NAV cleared. (Bf 110c flown as fighter). No more bombers left, both sides abort AA. RN anti-aircraft: lowest 1 of 4. Lowest =4. Both NAVs have bombs reduced to 0. Both sides stay. Axis search 6, allies 8. Battle over. Will post pictures when internet is back.

MA41 i3:
Actions shown below. The Germans and Italians flew fighters out to the 2-box of the W. Med.
Some miscellaneous JP naval moves. First naval move in the European theater is the two GE BC out to the Bay of Biscay.
Will you intercept?

[image]local://upfiles/47448/364E0275BCCF4EAE895CA1CCC47B08E8.jpg[/image]

rkr1958 -> RE: Pat vs Ronnie GW AAR (9/15/2016 5:03:12 AM)

The RN will attempt to intercept. They will use the CA London in the 0-box for the attempt.

ashkpa -> RE: Pat vs Ronnie GW AAR (9/15/2016 5:25:06 AM)

The two BC continued to the N. Atlantic, where they initiated combat. Die rolls of 7/4 resulted in no contact.
Italian sub moved to the Bay of Biscay and the GE sub initiated combat. Die rolls of 6/7 resulted in no contact.
Axis declined to initiate combat in the Italian Coast and the W. Med.

The CW has the option of initiated in the W. Med (Italians moved a CP to 0-box, and a loaded transport (4-3 INF from Marseilles) is now in the 1-box). Will you initiate combat?
