gregor40 -> Old Grudges Never Die - scenario does not make sense... (7/27/2016 6:41:48 PM)

SPOILERS! I have played the scenario from the both sides. For the Turk side 1) The sub sinking problem (it's a known bug) 2) I assume my main mission is to secure the Turkish air space. However, apart for the cruises from Russia (which some of them I manage to kill) there are no violations. I do what makes sense - I keep my patrols up over Turkey and they get attacked by the Russian S-400 without any warning. Than I get a message from The President to harass Russians over Syria, but I get no assets to deal with the S-400. I can do two things - sneak attacks below the radar horizon or a ground strike against the S-400 (which is a bit against the spirit of the scenario). 3) I get a suggestion to aid the Turkomen, however no ground units are detected during the scenario, and I lack any proper intel gathering platforms for recon. Well, I don't think you are suppose to do a low pass recon with F-16 in potential range of MANPADS. For the Russian side The briefing makes sense. Hurt ISIS, do not start the 3rd WW. I do some ground strikes against the oil fields and bridge. Suddenly out of the blue the Coalition turns red to me (I believe one of the Rafales is observed to attack a friendly unit, I may have a log when I discover where CMANO saves it) and a hell breaks loose in form of my air patrols and S-400 shooting everything that moves in the air. Apart from the Turks who remain unfriendly. Generally I am dissapointed. The events are not clear, there is no communication from high command (Which I would I expect on the Turkish side, being a commander in the middle of chain) explaining the situation. Don't take me wrong - it is a nice sandbox to take a peek at the platforms involved. But I do not take it as playable. I really expect more from a paid scenario than I get from a community-provided one.
