Zahar00 -> Frigate does not defend against missiles (8/29/2016 9:36:17 PM)

Hey, it's my first post so hello everyone!

I have a steam version CMANO and I have problem with defense against missiles- scenario: Biddle's Quandary 1982. My FFG OH Perry is equipped with RIM66, but not shooting at incoming missiles. I checked Doctrine and WRA window and here is everything ok (hostile target, weapon free and 1 or 2 rnds per salvo).
Searching for solutions I saw in the window "weapons", when I manually select "Reload Priority" to RIM66 (previously I fired Harpoon and that weapons were marked in blue in this window) only then, FFG starts shooting to incoming missiles.
It probably should work automatically?
If I'm wrong, please help what should I change/ or turn on, to begin start defend automatically?
I'm not a veteran, but previously I did not notice such problems (maybe because I played scenarios from modern era- I do not know)

Thank you for your help and Sorry for my English [&o]

If you have a Harpoon loaded on the single launcher, and you expect air/missile attack, then that is a problem. Usually the weapon will be loaded with the same weapon as last used, unless you change it. [when assigned missions, the weapons will normally be loaded for the mission type]
If you had fired off a SSM, I would have ensured to load a RIM in a hostile air/SSM environment.
I also would normally use 'engage opportunity target=yes' if I have not actually assigned a mission to a ship. When this is engaged and the ship is assigned a mission, it will limit the attacks it will make to those generally associated with the mission type.
