fabertong -> Help with Tojo (9/13/2016 10:06:55 AM)

Hi Guys.....In my game with 1275psi.....I've been happily producing Tojo IIa for a good month and a half....then the game rolls into October '42....and all production stops....5 days of October so far and no Tojos.....All bases are well supplied and production is on....but just a big red x in the production screen....any Ideas?

Thanks

The only thing that springs immediately to me is maybe you've run out of engines.

I concur with Gilladar. Check the number of Ha-34 engines in the pool. You may have to increase the engine factory size to parallel the desired Tojo production level.

[duplicate post].

Engines or HI ... engines most likely ...

Sorry for the less than full picture post.......plenty of engines and HI.....strange it should happen as we changed months...

What about supply at the factory location? There was one city I was always having trouble maintaining supply level. Others that might sporadically get into supply issues.

Are you just building them at Maebashi? For a plane of that importance I would look for a factory somewhere else to convert. For instance, if you decide not to build Tonys you could convert that research factory from the get-go.

BBfanboy -> RE: Help with Tojo (9/13/2016 5:18:52 PM)

If the factory was set to upgrade (rather than "keep") it may have done so? I haven't played the Japanese side much but I presume the upgrade to the next aircraft in the series is automatic if the setting is on? The fact that it started to happen at the beginning of a new month is what gives me that idea.

GetAssista -> RE: Help with Tojo (9/13/2016 5:40:31 PM)

Screenshots of the industry screen and base where factories are located?

+1

I'll go Engines for $600, Alex! [:D] (TV show Jeopardy)

Another thing that I run into is when I upgrade data base for ongoing game OR install a new beta patch, I get random air factories turning off.

Possible solution is to turn OFF production for the Tojo for one turn if engines are not the problem. Next turn, switch it back ON.

Also be aware that the Tojo uses different engines in different scenarios. Scenario 1 it uses the Ha-34. Don't know what it uses beyond that, although I believe its the Ha-35 in scenario 2.

Yup very confusing anyone has a reason for that ? I found the use of Ha34 better (in the game I do not know the eng it used in reality)... cause Ha34 is only used by the Helen and the transport variant (in scen2).

LargeSlowTarget -> RE: Help with Tojo (9/15/2016 10:08:20 AM)

Both Helen and Tojo used the Ha-41 in early versions and the Ha-109 engine in later versions (Army designations), which in the unified Army-Navy engine designation system became the Ha-34.

Alpha77 -> RE: Help with Tojo (9/15/2016 10:12:33 AM)

So it seems scen2 (plus the "babes" mod) have it wrong

PaxMondo -> RE: Help with Tojo (9/15/2016 2:29:23 PM)

Ha-35 use in the Tojo was an oops by the devs which was fixed in all official scenarios, but they left it in Scen 2 as one more little advantage for the IJ. It's worth about 100K-150K supply, not huge, but it does help.
