Michael has sent me the files with his work done in them. I now have them for final work before being ready to release Between the Storms.

My 'To Do' list:
1. Check LCU Upgrades for Japan
2. Re-work the A6 development line to simplify production and useless clutter.
3. Check DB/TB upgrade paths.
4. Work all the IJN CV Air Group names to a more Japanese feel.
5. Change starting Allied Bases and LCU locations as detailed earlier.

Is there something there not listed that needs to be done?

Hi John,

In looking at the game I downloaded, it looks like several Divisions are scattered a bit. And a few have Chain-of-Command issues. Unless there's a need in your scenario, maybe you could just make all of those divisions start "whole" and let the player break them down if needed?

Are there any ship types that can be converted to mine sweepers? It looks like Japan is a little light in those.

Give me those units!

French upgrade shipyard sizes.

Got it!

BillBrown -> RE: Updated Mods (8/30/2017 8:29:19 PM)

Did you fix the 9th Australian Inf div TOE?

John 3rd -> RE: Updated Mods (8/30/2017 9:34:51 PM)

Great question Bill. Long-time issue. Checking right now.

John,
Art wise, the following is missing;
G5N2 Liz and the A6M3b Zero. I would say that any new Japanese aircraft that you have made will need art. You could use existing art.

Allies;
French SS recon bird. Aussie and NZ naval aircraft from the Buff to the TBY's. All of this art can be had for the very low price of FREE from any Focus Pacific mod. I can Email to you, just PM your email again as I lost it....GP

I need a listing of all art we need to add to the aircraft art card.

6. Work French units.
7. IJN Pilot Pools
8. Slight reduction in IJN Pilot XP at start.

Is there something there not listed that needs to be done?

All this is now complete.

Shifting to more on the Allied side.

John 3rd -> RE: Updated Mods (8/30/2017 11:29:10 PM)

Allied List:
1. Slight Allied redeployment done as detailed earlier.
2. Fixed BC Constitution 2/42 Upgrade.
3. Re-Worked Allied Bases, development, and supply/fuel for all bases described earlier.

John 3rd -> RE: Updated Mods (8/30/2017 11:29:29 PM)

The 9th still needs looking at...

John 3rd -> RE: Updated Mods (8/30/2017 11:58:46 PM)

Looks pretty formidable to me!

John 3rd -> RE: Updated Mods (8/31/2017 12:00:25 AM)

Damn...

I am really ITCHING to play this Mod! There is soooooooooo much for both sides to play with. LOTS of shiny toys, new deployments, and a huge number of changes to make it a completely fresh game.

Don't look at how it arrives, look at its TOE in the editor. It is set to
2706 which is a CMF Inf Bn TOE. It should be set for a TOE of 2697. AMF Std Inf div.
The way it is set now, if you take any damage it will not rebuild, it is worthless past
a one shot weapon.

John 3rd -> RE: Updated Mods (8/31/2017 1:01:41 AM)

Looks right in the Editor as well...

BillBrown -> RE: Updated Mods (8/31/2017 1:15:32 AM)

Then you have changed it since version 2.6 that you put out earlier.

John 3rd -> RE: Updated Mods (8/31/2017 1:23:23 AM)

GREAT! Chalk that up for one thing fixed!

ny59giants -> RE: Updated Mods (8/31/2017 1:24:27 AM)

John,

Post the latest 'working version' for slot 65 BTS that you have done so far. Allowed players to look at what we have done and provide feedback.

John 3rd -> RE: Updated Mods (8/31/2017 1:50:33 AM)

GREAT idea!

Will note when it is on the website.

John 3rd -> RE: Updated Mods (8/31/2017 1:57:43 AM)

Done. The not completed BTS version is on the BTS page on the website. Click the link at the bottom of this post. The working scenario file is 065.

Take a look and let Michael and I know what you think.

We'll shift over and bring Between the Storms Lite in for its update.

BillBrown -> RE: Updated Mods (8/31/2017 11:50:52 AM)

A24 upgrades to A24B which then upgrades back to A24

From the Sub Thread:

So the USN get three that can resize and the IJN gets all of theirs?

No. You inferred. ALL pre-war US CV/CVL ships can: Lex, Sara, King's Mountain, Ely, Langley, Yorktown, Enterprise, Hornet, and Wasp. Make sense? The others come in and do their thing as per normal.

This has not been implemented, will you be doing it?

John 3rd -> RE: RA 7.9 (8/31/2017 1:01:31 PM)

Want to be sure about your query. By re-size, you mean the auto-resize that is done 3-4 times during the war. Generally this reflected the continual adding on of Fighters and lessening of DB/TB. Correct?

Will fix A-24.

Kitakami -> RE: RA 7.9 (8/31/2017 1:01:39 PM)

Shokaku & Zuikaku are still overloaded, with squadrons sized 24+24+24+3. Perhaps it should be 21+24+24+3, following the example of Akagi & Amagi?

John 3rd -> RE: RA 7.9 (8/31/2017 1:02:23 PM)

Will tackle this as well.

Kitakami -> RE: RA 7.9 (8/31/2017 1:04:14 PM)

Nisshin still comes with two of their 25mm batteries out of ammo.

Since you changed all of the IJN CV air units to be able to be player resized for the entire war, it was discussed earlier in this thread and another thread that it would be fair if the USN could do the same. You stated that you would change all of the prewar USN CV air units to be able to be player resized.

The discussion was earlier in this very thread, starting at post 117. Here is a direct link to the start. http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/fb.asp?m=4231989

John 3rd -> RE: RA 7.9 (8/31/2017 1:59:42 PM)

Thanks!

Kitakami -> RE: RA 7.9 (8/31/2017 4:39:34 PM)

I think the Aoba-class and Furutaka-class conversions may be off. CLAA is the FROM class and CL the TO class in the database.
Also, the Aoba conversion takes 90 days, while the Furutaka conversion takes 100. May I ask the reason?

Addition 1:
Bind 414 mentions CLAA Furutaka (1103) class, but it does nothing.
Bind 415 mentions CLAA Furutaka (1108,1109,1110) classes, but it does nothing.

Additon 2:
Bind 503 (BB-Colorado class) seems a bit weird on the FROMs and TOs.

Addition 3:
Air units aboard HMNZS Wellington are still Australian. Is that as designed?

Admiral DadMan -> RE: RA 7.9 (8/31/2017 5:40:06 PM)

Reikan is for seaplanes. Use Kantei for carrier based recon.

Also, you can use the following TF names:
-Dai-Ni KidoButai (or dNi KB) / 2nd Mobile Force
-Dai-Shi KidoButai (or dShi KB) / 3rd Mobile Force
-Dai-San KidoButai (or dSan KB) / 4th Mobile Force

If you want to get really crazy, Locations
slot 29 1st Air Fleet can become Dai-Ichi KōKū Kantai
slot 30 2nd Air Fleet can become Dai-Ni KōKū Kantai
slot 31 3rd Air Fleet can become Dai-San KōKū Kantai
and so on...

Admiral DadMan -> RE: RA 7.9 (8/31/2017 9:59:25 PM)

How about 7 Wind class ice breakers for ASW work in 1944?

USS/USCGC Staten Island (WAGB-278) 26 February 1944

GREAT thought. Please write the correct wording for 4th-12th Air Fleet. I THINK that is as high as it goes...

Those are VERY cool. We shall add them to the Allied OOB. Will need art though...

Can anyone find this for art and/or create it?
