A fine tuning of the above style allows for differentiation of terrain without all the clutter.

Dude, Looks to fuzzy. The last map I commented on was almost perfect, What happened???....GP

I like the Cool Breeze map. The terrain features seem clearer to me than with other versions.

To just lower the yellow saturation will change the green. So ive been looking for new colors to paint the primary and secondary roads.

A darker yellow for secondary

And either a whiter grey ...or red for primary.

what do you think?

Darker yellow and whiter grey would be fantastic, MakeeLearn.

ny59giants -> RE: Pacifica Bellum Map (6/15/2017 10:59:13 AM)

I downloaded V3 on 2/25/17 and like it very much. [&o] I would like to see the swamps changed here to be like the Kamikaze version and maybe better grays to show which hexes are urban light and heavy. Is there a newer version i could view??

Thanks. No newer version. Just some small parts where I test colors, trying to find replacement for gray roads and urban light and heavy. Ive been thinking of updating the swamps to Kamikaze version, glad to hear you think its a good idea. I may not be able to really mod it till fall.

Where can one access this mod?

The first post has a link but when you click it it redirects you to a page which says "Access Denied!".

Thanks

Click the title, it's an active link.

Zovs -> RE: Pacifica Bellum Map (11/26/2021 7:16:39 PM)

I did click the title it redirects me to a page that says: “ You need access”

Kull -> RE: Pacifica Bellum Map (11/26/2021 9:31:53 PM)

I just tested it again, and there's nothing wrong with that link. It takes you to a google drive that allows any visitor to download the file (which also works fine). Looking through this thread, in 5+ years you are the only person to report an "access denied" problem, so once again it's probably something unique to your virtual machine settings.

Zovs -> RE: Pacifica Bellum Map (11/26/2021 9:40:50 PM)

I don’t it has anything to do with my VM. I just don’t have permission to download or access that google drive with my email account.

This is available to EVERYONE. You don't need special permission granted on an email-account basis.

Might be your antivirus check that.

Nomad -> RE: Pacifica Bellum Map (11/27/2021 1:38:21 AM)

I just tried the links and got the error that I do not have permission to download.

This my issue as well, the link requires special permissions to download.

Kull -> RE: Pacifica Bellum Map (11/27/2021 3:03:20 PM)

It really isn't a "permission issue". The vast majority of these errors are related to browser settings and/or cookies, which is why my first assumption was that VM was causing the issue since by definition it isn't going to have identical hardware/software browser settings. Anyway, this site is pushing their own software, but they also offer a nicely detailed set of things to try:

#2 - different browser
#3 - clean cookies/cache
#4 - use incognito/InPrivate mode
#5 - disable Google extensions (4 & 5 assume you are using Chrome)

Nomad -> RE: Pacifica Bellum Map (11/27/2021 6:33:53 PM)

Tried a different browser, got the same error. I really don't need to download the map files, so I give up.

Well, thanks for testing. It works for me with Opera, Chrome, and Edge. Seems to be some hiccups with IE, but that may just be Edge trying to override it.

Nomad -> RE: Pacifica Bellum Map (11/27/2021 9:04:37 PM)

I tried Edge and Chrome, neither worked.

Kull -> RE: Pacifica Bellum Map (11/27/2021 9:19:06 PM)

Well, there's deeper levels of surgery that might work, but hardly worth pursuing when you aren't planning to use the map anyway.

Zovs -> RE: Pacifica Bellum Map (11/28/2021 9:55:18 PM)

So for whatever reason the original link in the very first post fails to let you download the map mod located from that link.

With the latest version of Chrome and with my normally signed in gmail account I get:

Using the chrome tools I see:

Also investigating a little bit more I see 403 errors all over the place from that redirected non-allowed/permission's web site.

Using Opera or the latest's edition of of IE yields or redirects you to a gmail log on site. Which results in the same error as Chrome.

So clearly there is something wrong with the permissions of that web site that holds this mod.

So can someone please create a proper functioning web site or google account where one could download this mod?

Thank you.

Zovs -> RE: Pacifica Bellum Map (11/28/2021 11:43:19 PM)

Final note, I used my host machine to try to download this map mod and the same thing happens, "You need Access", so this is still an issue and the file is undownload-able.

RangerJoe -> RE: Pacifica Bellum Map (11/28/2021 11:54:32 PM)

The same thing here. I suggest that you send MakeeLearn an e-mail since it seems that he has not been logging on much lately.
