mogami -> Turn 14 (4/21/2003 7:25:18 PM)

OK I won't call reinforcement. If you hear bugles it is just the "charge" being sounded. No really I won't call for reinforcement.

"Polish forces push forward, the lightning thrust of Polish Armor deep into Czech positions has encircled the entire Czech army.
The Mogami Beer Generation Facility has been secured, The war is over. Only mop up operations remain. When asked about the capture of Goblin I say "He is no longer relevant"
Amidst all the clutter, beyond all the obstacles, aside from all the static, are the goals set. Put your head down, do the best job possible, let the flak pass, and work towards those goals. We've done that and look where we are, standing in the winners circle."

Goblin -> (4/21/2003 7:52:16 PM)

"We're now trying to exhaust them, until our leadership decides the time and method to clean our territory of their desecration."

"Our farmers, they are targeting accurately the enemy."

President Mogami is a "crook" and "the most despicable creature."

"Czech forces have been contained, out manouevred and destroyed. We are not pausing, we're just letting the slower units catch up. There is not going to be a pause!!!"

Goblin -> (4/22/2003 12:55:50 AM)

The Czechoslovakian Information Minister could not be reached for comment today.

The weight of the Czech attack as provided it with a certain inertia that is being countered by the solid immovable Polish defense."

"Happy Czech crowd the streets singing and dancing to celebrate the overthrow of the despot Goblin. Polish forces begin to return home. We don't care who leads the Czechs as long as Poland keeps the pilsner...err Mogami Beer Generating Facility.
Poland is now casting it's eye on a certain pretzal company"

mogami -> Turn 18 (4/22/2003 10:42:47 PM)

"No sign of the Czechs. We believe they have all fled to neighboring countries. The parade is scheduled for next week after all the troops have returned home."

Goblin -> (4/22/2003 11:02:27 PM)

"...they are nowhere (pause)...they are nowhere, really"

We can now verify that not a single Polish soldier will return to his homeland. This is verifiable, and has been...verified.

mogami -> Turn 21 (4/23/2003 8:37:54 AM)

"Be yourself. Follow your instincts. Success depends, at least in part, on the ability to "carry it off."

Control your time. If you're working off your in-box, you're working off the priorities of others. Be sure the staff is working on what you move to them from the President, or the President will be reacting, not leading. The Polish Army is leading the way in modernization. From results in Czechoslovakia we have discovered the horse and tank are a wonderful combination.
Poland will be raising several additional cavalry brigades. Each will have a full platoon of tanks assigned."

Goblin -> (4/23/2003 10:06:09 AM)

With our outstanding victory over the pig-dogs, we are ready to take our place as one of the premier military countries in the world. I feel we are ready to be named a Superpower. We are about to turn our eye to our Polish Enemies. They will immediately allow Sausage Plant Inspectors into their country, or face our wrath. They may be beaten with shoes.

As a modern SuperPower, Czechoslovakia needs Pilsner Beer. We announce today that the baby forumula factory will be converted to a Pilsner Beer Works. The conversion should take only a week.

mogami -> Turn 23 (4/24/2003 9:27:12 AM)

"I've been asked when the remaining Polish troops will be brought home. The remaing troops will be brought home when the mission is complete. There are some mop up operations and then cleanup. We just can't leave all those dead Czech's laying around. The wind is blowing toward Poland."

Goblin -> (4/25/2003 5:36:07 AM)

Today we announce the completion of the Goblin Memorial Pilsner Beer Works. The Works were completed 6 days ahead of our 1 week schedule. There is to be free Pilsner Beer for all Czech Fighters. Any surplus beer will be sold to any enemy of Poland.

"Due to the need to protect the newly acquired Mogami Beer Generating Facility. (and plans for expansion) The Army today issued orders to the Elite 1st Bn 3rd Cav Bde to move to the Czech border and prepare for operation "Pilsner Pilfer"
"Those guys just don't get it" said an unidentified guy we talked to outside a bar in Warsaw.

The celebration party at the GMPBW was a huge success! The Czechoslovakian Information Minister is unavailable for comment today, due to excessive celebration.

After careful consultation with the General Staff the entire 3rd Cav Bde is moving to the border.

(next battle will be a Polish assaut, any one have a good large map with towns?)

Goblin -> (4/26/2003 2:43:54 AM)

Good game, Mogami! It ended. We will let our readers determine who won, based on our truthful, honest, and accurate reports.;)

Goblin-A Goblin's password was mogami

mogami -> Next battle (4/26/2003 2:51:12 AM)

Hi, Thanks Goblin. Now about this next battle. I know you are pressed for time so I will make the assault (since defense does not require as much time.
I like the really large maps. But I'll let you pick map size and points. Also I'd allow a 3 to 2 air section (3 Polish 2 Czech)
You can have mines and everything. You'd have to spend some time deploying but the actual game would not require much time.

My starting bid is 5.5k Poles assault 3.2k Czechs super large map 10 percent OB arty, 5 percent (160 points) mines (deployed at start engineers could place more) 30-35 turns

And we just keep posting in this thread since the battle is a continuation of the "Beer" war

My password was "river"

(Goblin outscored me even though it was a points per turn game and I occupied all the VH by turn 3. I was doing well untill I left the hills to "pursue' then the Czech AT rifles massacured my armor)

Goblin -> (4/26/2003 6:02:48 AM)

Yeah, those Czech infantry squads that carry the Solothurn AT rifle really helped alot, especially because I bought only 6 tanks. Your usual style against me has involved very few tanks, so I did like-wise.

I hate large maps. If it is more than one 'page', it is horrible. Partially because of the poor scrolling and mini-map ability of the game. Also, defending a big map is just too much of a headache (for me anyways). Let me think on it some, and maybe investigate a new country? Maybe the newest target on your war against Pilsner...
