As a fellow Wargamer i would like to say "Thanks" I found the article "Hit the nail on the head" I can only hope that the War Gameing Companies will have read it .
I suggest all Wargamers go and read the Article.....at TheWargamer.com

Bill, reading your various articles is as much fun and as informative and entertaining as playing your latest hex creation. If ever there was a grand old man of wargaming (and I mean that with the utmost respect), it's gotta be you.

Thank you,

:cool:

Too slow on the draw, Bel, I am.

Belisarius -> (4/22/2003 2:10:06 AM)

's alright Jim. Now even fewer have any excuse of not reading the editorial. :D

Very informative, WB. As Hawk said - "nail on the head".

Huffy -> (4/22/2003 2:16:07 AM)

Yes...I agree....very good article. So many games....so little time.

WhiteRook -> as always (4/22/2003 7:24:01 AM)

Guy's WB is always one to "hit the nail on the head".
He has a flair for both designing and writing when it comes to wargaming. ;)
Again this article proves the Kunel's vast insight when it comes to his passion, wargaming in general.
I am always proud to be able to call WB my friend and mentor.

Once again my Kunel you show us why you are an Icon in the gaming community! :D

sztartur2 -> (4/23/2003 4:19:10 AM)

In one word: EXCELLENT.

Artur.

Once again the Wild Man has opened his heart to Wargamers worldwide. Something that is very hard for most people to - he does on a regular basis - many tend to take it for granite. I do not - it's good to see others that feel the same as I do. He is not only a great article writer, scenario designer and mentor - but he is the best friend a person could have.

I better not go on or I'll get mushy and make you guys sick.

GREAT JOB Wild Man!!

Figmo
P.S. I only saw one typo - sorry Bill - call me anal-retentive but I just can't break old habbits.

Mark Ezra -> (4/23/2003 9:46:31 AM)

If there were no Wild Bill it would be necessary to invent him!

Irinami -> (4/23/2003 10:30:38 AM)

Wild Bill you are the man... "el Jefe..." beyond that an inspiration to us all... but even beyond that, you're an honest and down-to-earth guy. A rare gem indeed. Heck, all the writing and design you've done, you're a bloody diamond mine! :D :D :D

Wild Bill -> (4/24/2003 4:59:39 AM)

GENTLEMEN!

To Hawk and the rest of you dedicated gamers, you know how to warm an old warrior's heart! Kind notes like this is like saying "sic-em!" to a hound dog!

I am so very grateful. I've been through some deep and turbulent waters personally in the last few years, but I've always known that my good and faithful wargaming buddies were there. And you have been!

The list of folks in this topic reads like a wargaming "honor roll." These are thoughts I will always cherish.

And I ain't finished yet! We will be doing more in the months to come. I hope to re-issue all of the old SPWAW scenarios of mine revamped to 7.1 in the near future. I'd like to do some new ones for all of you, including a new campaign or two.

The articles will continue to appear on the Wargamer. I'll be maintaining a regular column there with a new article every month or so. The name of the column is "When History Meets Wargaming."

I'm in some honored company there as you will see from the list of contributors.

The next article will be on the theme, "I Love Tanks!" I know that you do too. I'll post a note when it is up for reading.

Again, you have my deepest gratitude for your kind thoughts.

WB
