Hi,
Strangely enought, I started playing WitW before buying WitE.
And one thing I can't find in WitE is the notion of attack and defense Combat Value BEFORE combat, as it is in WitW.
Is it a notion which does not exist in the East or I missed something ?
Is there anything else which give us in advance the hypothetical result of a combat ?

Unfortunately calculating effective odds pre combat in wite1 requires the sacrifice of chickens and careful study of the entrails. More usefully the alt-combat value set up will allow to place more trust in a simple pre combat comparison of odds using the displayed values.

Key issues is that mass gives a bonus and certain weapon systems work better in certain conditions

Experience is the key.

Usually a CV ratio >1.5 with deliberate attack and a good leader gives you a good probability to win... except if you get reserve activation.

It also dépends on the number of engineers you get if your opponent is entrenched
