Advanced Third Reich.

Not vassal or some other try hard. A faithful PC reproduction.

Same goes for EIA, the matrix version is abysmal.

Vietnam 1965-1975
And I hope it is made by Gary Grigsbys.

[:)]In addition to many good suggestions I'd enjoy seeing 'Red Sand Blue Sky - Heroes of the Arena'.(Two Hour Wargames).

Tactical (turn based) Gladiator combat with career mode and options to run a Gladiator school.

From BGG:

As a gladiator you fight your way through the Empire in hopes of reaching the Colosseum in Rome and perhaps the ultimate glory, the wooden sword of freedom, the rudis. Or perhaps you would rather be a lanista, the trainer or manager of gladiators forming your own troupe or familia gladiatoria. And the third way to play Red Sand Blue Sky - Heroes of the Arena is as the owner of a ludus or gladiator school seeking to reach the ultimate honor, a school in Rome herself.

There's a text based Gladiator school/manager game on Steam that sort of does that. You start out at the cheapest gladiator places and move up to Rome. It's mostly texted based like Ageod combats but you get to pick and train your gladiators like a stat based baseball game. Matching them up with like an A vs C and buying them armor and weapons to increase their chances of winning.

B17 Queen of the Skies - loved that game.

Someone is bringing out an updated version due for release next year. Not PC though just a new board game called "Target for Today"

Greetings Capitaine and aaatoysandmore,
From my Amiga 500, 1000, 2000 & 3000 tower days I played the games of Dr. Peter Turcan's batalia series.
http://www.lemonamiga.com/games/list.php?list_people=Dr.%20Peter%20Turcan
I played Austerlitz, Waterloo , Borodino and Armada. You sent orders and watched your blocks move and engage in battle.

Some "What if?" scenarios would be fun to try out in a strategic format.

In honor of Warspite1, I think it would be very interesting to try Sealion, with a possible 'beefing up' of the German forces for playability making it a near run thing.

AJAYIWALDORF -> RE: What game do you wish they would make a PC game of ? (12/3/2016 10:09:07 AM)

That would probably going to be along list, and you can actually get them free.

wodin -> RE: What game do you wish they would make a PC game of ? (12/3/2016 10:35:57 AM)

I have a PC emulator somewhere..

Would buy a remastered version of the old "Star Wars Rebellion" PC game with up to date graphics and a tactical module that looks like this board game:

Flattop! I think that is its name. It would need AI so I could finally play it. I owned it as a kid with no one to play it against.

Carrier Strike was nearly same game for Atari nd Commodore, also played on my IBM PC...Nowadays, suggest you try WITP or WITP AE...Same concept on a much larger scale but smaller scenarios will work nicely.

I have both. [:D]

ezzler -> RE: What game do you wish they would make a PC game of ? (12/6/2016 11:12:00 PM)

Have that from GOG - so old its unplayable really.

wodin -> RE: What game do you wish they would make a PC game of ? (12/8/2016 5:12:01 PM)

Did you get it all right? If like me when installing it may seem to crash\stop. Just close the Microsoft window not the game install window and it will then carry on

Command and Colors?

I would though love more Dan Verssen Games to have digital counterparts - Field Commander Napoleon, Gato Leader, U Boat Leader, Fleet Commander Nimitz, Modern Land Battles, Modern Naval Battles etc

m10bob -> RE: What game do you wish they would make a PC game of ? (12/9/2016 3:05:07 PM)

I loved TF1942 MUCH more than "Great Naval Battles"(the series)...and also loved the ww2 European tank simulator "ACROSS THE RHINE"...think it was Microprose...They ran on my early IBM PC's...

HudsonGame -> RE: What game do you wish they would make a PC game of ? (12/9/2016 4:46:38 PM)

I always loved SPI's Strategy I. It was an outstanding game. You could makeup any scenario you liked, from any period.

Yes I do. I have not looked at it in many years (just play PC games these days). Another game (non-boardgame) I would like to see redone is Norm Koger's Age of Rifles (I helped playtest it). It was great.

oh i thought this was about making computer game versions of board games but if this thread is meaning old games too - well boyo boy i have a massive list on the top of which would you guessed it

Wargamer: Napoleon 1813

but also :

Blue Max
Das Boot
Rules of Engagement (this is one is probably one of the most unique strategy games i have ever encountered and it is brilliant)
Star Legions - this could be great and also unique a game where you manage a planetary invasion force, a great concept that the original game though didnt make the most of

Second Conflict

Novalogic's Wolfpack

Task Force 1942

Ancient Art of War in the Skies

Star Fleet

Napoleon I ( a really great and little known amiga game that actually frank hunter was behind, - similar to Campaigns on the Danube but a bigger scale )

Patriot form 360Pacific - a great concept, poor execution

5th Fleet

The Grandest Fleet

- the list is endless, fortunately these great old games are still around and can be bought for reasonable prices in their boxed splendour still on ebay!

I'm surprised that no one mentioned the OCS series.

I would buy up stat DAK 2, with the others to follow. Their "logistic first" mechanism, along with the great fluidity of play is unparalleled (I have both "Beyond the Rhine" and "The Blitzkrieg Legend", and the main problem is... you guessed it: space).
