none of these above will alter or cause any issue with newer games either, and while this game won't need them all, doing them doesn't take 5 mins and tbh will make all the older games work better. i use windows 10 to play DOS games, so yes it's a great O/S and more game friendly than any other imo. and while it comes with Direct X 12 even, you still have to load DirectX 9c to make older games work https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=34429 again, not a windows 10 of game issue, it's just how software works, the latest doesn't always have all the older files in them either. my other tip is, always log in to your support account here in the member section and make sure you have the latest installer and update, so only the 2 files etc, and use them, not older version which some keep, as the latest one is the one i test with, or try to, then just have the latest patch and always check for updates to make fully sure the version run, is the latest one, even if it's a beta one, then i know for sure it's as bug free as it can be,... good luck and hope it works for you, as so far you're the only one to post which is hasn't helped
