I cant seem to manage to edit a scenario to remove tanks. I've tried removing the research, removing the units, removing the sftypes, but it always causes the game to start with a no produceable units at all my cities. Any way to create a scenario without tanks? Is it possible to modify the newdawn3 masterfile to not have tanks?

You also need to remove the tanks in the item list. Of course, without the SFType attached to it, the produce item won't be much of anything. I'm not sure what the game would do as it doesn't have any statistics attached to it. An item has to essentially be on of SFType, a regime slot, political point, or supply.

You would also need to disconnect the masterfile, permanently..

Also I believe there is some code that the AI uses to make somewhat balanced production. If no tanks are present, I think that the AI would try and build them, possibly causing nothing to be built at all.

I have removed all tank sftypes, removed all tank related units and research, removed/disabled them for each race/regime, disabled armor production for the ai (set ratio to 0), removed tank factories, and disconnected the masterfile.

As a result I can't produce any units. the production screen shows 0x for supply, pp, and rifles.
Rifles is prd:32, lft:32, and real:0.
The unit type list to the right of the production sliders is blank.
