Working on a Soviet-Afghan war mod for CCMT.

I am re-doing all CCMT interface graphics in the process.

The mod will span all the war from 1979 to 1989 with a huge choice on team composition and weaponry.

In-game graphics and text labels overhauled. I had one problem > I could not get rid of some of the grey lines around the map and menus. - Could this be something that is drawn out by the .exe?

Thanks for the interest and good words Chiph. - I guess you own the game? - I can recommend www.closecombatseries.net as well for mods etc.

The Soviet-Afghan mod has been laying dormant for a while now. - But the good news is I have had renewed interest in it lately.
I would like to mod more vehicles and teams into it. Started working on mapping specific Afghanistan maps for it as well, but they could easily be added later since they could take a while to finish up...

I really dont have a schedual but at least I intend to finish this one[:)]

Thanks, I know how it goes. Let me know if I can help in any way. I've always wanted to game the Soviet war. I have no idea how to mod these games. Is there a program? Do I have to know code?

Thanks for the offer to help Chiph. - It would be great to get some help on playtesting when I get something more complete together.

- Modding this game is an endless experiece... - The easiest place to start is downloading the Workbook containing all data for vehicles, weapons, teams etc and start adjusting values and playing with it.

Modding graphics and sound is also fun and quite easy to do.- Start out small. There are tools available for graphics and sound modding. - You do not need to know any code. The most "advanced" I have done is hex editing to correct some text strings that are coded in the .exe file.
