..along with Norway/Denmark, and boy, there's a lot of coast to defend [X(]

So few units, so many kilometers... this is gonna be interesting [:'(]

Get dominance over the seas and you don't have to worry too much about that. [:D]

You'll also get the opportunity to build the "Atlantic wall" later on.

You will get 4 coastal units in non-city hexes at the coast of North France in early 1942, with an event.

Just make sure you do not have any units stationed at the coast there, or these coastal units will be placed inland, where they are pretty much useless. And you can't move them to the coast then, cause they can't move.

But, yes, even with those 4, it's a lot of coast! I use Spanish troops to cover a part and all German corpses for the rest. But you might want to mix in 2-3 armies and 2 tanks or so, together with a HQ that is manually assigned to them.

Or -like suggested- build up your fleet (submarine research is great), get some extra planes to spy and don't let them land!

Hi Yogol

We have scripts in place that should position the Coastal Guns on the coast even if units are already in those locations.

If you (or anyone else reading this) find that isn't the case please send me a saved turn, ideally from just before the Decision, to bill.runacre@furysoftware.com

Thanks

Bill

I know the installations in France were the most prominent, but in fact the Atlantic Wall reached up along the western coast of Denmark and even Norway. So might it not be an idea to have the event give more Coastal Guns? This would help the AI defend against ahistoric invasions in Denmark better (and also help a bit with the issue that the AI does not defend Norway).

Sorry, but I don't have any save game after early 1941 is that game :(
But I've sent you the last one I had and the one after the guns are placed.
It's the coastal gun near Ypres that didn't go to the coast, but one hex behind it.
