Nimits -> Cannot Run Uncommon Valor (4/26/2003 11:06:46 AM) When I try to run the game (either fromt he Matrix menu or .exe file itself) I get the little hourclass icon on the mouse cursor and the Ctrl-Alt-Del menu shows Uncommonvalor running for a couple of seconds, but then it simply stops running (dissappears from the Close Program Menu), and, of course, nothing loads up. I have tried reinstalling and installing, including patches 2.0, 2.1, 2.11, 2.2 and 2.3. I have WinME, Dx 9.0a, Nvidia 43.45 Omega Drivers, running version 2.30 of the game. Edit: I can run version 2.20 without problems. The issue only arises with 2.30.

Mr.Frag -> (4/26/2003 9:46:34 PM) Check the CD in a different drive if you have one. There were a lot of folks who ran into issues of this sort when the patch came out.

Nimits -> (4/27/2003 12:44:22 AM) That did the trick. Of course, to test it, I had to switch my CDRW drive to master, as my DVD drive died on me.

Attack Condor -> Consarned, newfangeled, whatchamacallit..!!! (4/27/2003 7:00:06 PM) FWIW, when I first tried to run the game, I had to switch to a [I]slower[/I] CD drive (matter of fact, one we used at work for a demo - which I replaced :D). The weird part was I discounted the drive because it ran everything else perfectly ~ and only changed the drive because I was going to teach a class on R&R drives the next morning but forgot to prepare for the lesson so I did a run through at home! Lo and behold, UV ran purrrrrfectly :D (Still on the "my generation" {older} drive)
